Cool pic...if it's any consolation, I did travel about 20 miles during lunch to get my pic of the building in downtown Porkland...hard to park today because the Bundy's are in court for taking over the Malheur Wildlife Refuge this past year over in Eastern Oregon. Lots of folks out and about...Feds, DHS, and a few folks with signs across the street from the fed building.

Yeah Portland was already outgrowing itself when we left the area in the 90's. Yours was a cool pic - brings back memories. Because of that building it became a law in 1983 that you can't build higher than 40' if above a certain elevation in NC. Yeah, people were pissed. And it is so windy that the windows crack. And the pipes freeze. You can see the f'ing thing from peaks in other states like VA. |

So it's either ECU, or bad battery, or regulator, or some other electrical nightmare. FML Thank god some nice family stopped to help, tried to jump it, started for a second then no joy. They had a pickup, drove me all the way to the shop, wouldn't take $$ for gas. I hope they have as much good karma and such as the universe will allow. View Quote Damn man, what a sad way to end a fun ride. I hope its something easy: stator fuse, battery, etc. I have seen a bad battery prevent a bike from running, even after a jump. |

On April 16th, 1836, General San Houston and his army, on the run from General Santa Anna, came to the village of New Kentucky. At the home of Abraham Roberts there was a fork in the road. Taking the left fork would lead his army towards Nacadoches and the safety of the United States. To the right, Santa Anna's army and a terrible battle. As they neared the home, Houston's soldiers called out, "Which way to Harrisburg?" And Roberts pointed right to the Southeast. Houston directed his army to the right and down the Harrisburg road towards modern day Houston. Five days later Houston defeated Santa Anna at the battle of San Jacinto and won Texas her independence. The site of the Abraham Roberts home is known as Sam Houston's "Fork in the Road " http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y109/phuzzygnu/20160924_144103_zpskk2mbnwk.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y109/phuzzygnu/20160924_144130_zpswgsceefi.jpg Next up: A military static display.
