98-02 Tacoma in NY? Wouldn't touch one with a 10 foot pole due to frame rust issues. Any truck of that age will have rust issues in the salt belt if driven in the winter but Tacos were horrible during that time frame. Just not worth it unless you are willing to crawl under the vehicle and do an extremely good inspection.

In before $19K

Be aware of the frame rusting issues they had, and make sure you do a thorough inspection.  Lots of used car dealers around me buy southern cars and will search out specific years and models for you at the auctions they go to

Look at a Frontier.  Better truck, less cost, better frame.

Why 98 to 02? They made essentially the same truck from 95.5 to 04?

If you get the 2.7L dont get the auto.
