Looked through your conversion thread, and that is some serious attention to detail. I considered swapping to HSV badges, but I know I'll end up wanting more and will only end up in debt or with a serious mental issue.

Arrowheads will do..... for now.

got some fresh, meaty rubber on the GX, changed the oil, gave her a bath and put the top box on ready for some Thanksgiving family travel.

There's a lot that can be done to the GTO to set it up a notch visually. Painted SAP grilles, spoiler elimination, factory 18s (or CV8 wheels), some debadging, etc.

Here's my wife's GTO. If you look close you can see quite a few subtle things that really make a big difference.

I've been debating getting an SAP fascia (I'd prefer a Kyne or Goldilocks splitter), and SAP kidney grilles are definitely on the list.

I've been hesitant with going too crazy on the mods as I'm on the hunt for a low mileage (under 20k) '06 BOM M6. That color just presses all the right buttons with me.

I'm willing to budge on the mileage as long as it's in great condition and meets the other two requirements.

I want to see what you guys think of this:

My Cayman S is going into the body shop at Brumos on Dec 9 to get the nose replaced.  Someone backed into it and they are replacing the nose.

There is a piece on each side of the car up front that they call a "protection strip" that has a nacelle for the fog lights/parking lights.  This is the picture of that as it comes with the car:

Here it is with that part blackened on both sides, first with lights off, next with lights on:

Now, here is a new Cayman S which I think uses the same general idea:

I only did it because I am getting new ones and am gonna keep these two pieces just in case.

So, standard or blackened?  Just curious.  They are easy to take off and put on so I can change them around if I want.

And a gratuitous pic of a sweety with the same year and color as mine:

Yeah the shop that installed it run it on the dyno and it put down 630HP and 596TQ (724hp/685tq at the crank) to the wheels with the Procharger, methonal and texas speed LT headers.  I haven't been able to get it to the track but it certainly puts a smile on my face. Of course this is all from a dyno and we all know they can give different readings based on a million reasons, but it's a good tool to get an idea of why I'm able to go Mach Jesus in no time flat, haha!

I'm sure it's more than adequate.

I've got enough room for an F1, but my wallet is pretty tight after price checking.

It holds its own for the most part, haha!  Had a buddy that kept ragging me about how he wanted to go fast when he rode with me.  One night after work while taking him home he was begging to go fast while we were cruising at 65 and wouldn't shut up soooooo.... I quickly bumped it up to 175, he didn't say a word, he didn't even move a inch. Once I brought it back to 65 he said he never wants to go fast again, he said he couldn't move or say anything he was so scared, haha!  So yeah it's enjoyable.

New exhaust but I am more impressed with the difference a $5 spray bottle of Turtle Wax, wax and dry, made to the exterior after my normal wash.

Any magical spray detailers/waxes I should be aware of?
I am going to do a full body paint correction in a few weeks to get out all the micro swirls and small chips.

Any magical spray detailers/waxes I should be aware of?

I am going to do a full body paint correction in a few weeks to get out all the micro swirls and small chips.

I ran this stuff over the summer. The "Extreme Slick" they carry sounds like good shit as well, and doesn't smell like cherry so I may replace it with that.

I don't how much dust you subject it to, but their claims of anti-cling" appear to be legitimate.

I live in West Texas, so quite a bit of dust for commuting within the city limits of an urban area...

My car looks like I was prerunning some Baja routes if I leave the garage open during a windy night.

I have heard good things about Chemical Guys, might have to order some products.

Thanks for the tip.

Wow, a first gen Talon!  I haven't seen one of those in a long time, let alone one that clean.  Do you have engine bay pics?

Buddy of mine and I destroyed a couple gen II's back in my youth, so I have lots of love for those things.

My car is currently insured as "storage" due to seasonal changes. So I haven't been driving it.

After I installed it, I took it around the block and I did notice that the surging/bucking was smoother at 1500 RPMs. My cam has a 110 LSA with 25 degree of overlap.

My NW 102 TB and Halltech MF108 just got delivered and installed yesterday when I took that picture. It'll need a retune for sure before I can really get a feel for how it will drive.

The install is straightforward. The build quality on it is so-so. There was a lot of excess plastic on the mold lines. I trimmed and sanded all those down. But if it makes the power that it's supposed to, then I'm a happy camper.

Sounds like you have a beast of a setup, look forward to hear how it turns out once you get it out of storage.
