I want a new hood.

They got it oh so right on the GT 350.

I hate the damn ridges in the middle of the hood.   For instance the 2016 has stupid turn signals in the heat extractor vents, big whoop you cannot even zee the passenger side hood vent because of those stupid ridges.

I know they lowered the engine in the GT350 to bring in a new hood line.    But if the aftermarket can make a good looking version of it I will do that.   I would like a spoiler or wing as well as a tiny lowering of maybe 1 1/2 inch all around.   Wheels and tires once I wear these out.

But it will be a year or more before I do that.    Need to work on the 95 and 05 to get them done first.

No. If Holden MFG. wanted a spoiler on it, they would've installed one at the factory. It's nothing more than a cheap add-on from Pontiac.

JHP makes a small spoiler that I may go back with, but the "boomerang" ain't going back on.

New vented hood painted and installed.  Need to get the washer squirter holes opened up more so I can get them mounted.  Need to get the car cleaned up this weekend and get some better pics.  Think the heat should get out of the engine bay a lot better now.

I cannot wait for a GT350 inspired hood for my 2015.   A proper large vent to get the heat out and to get rid of the two central faux cowl ribs that I hate.   I am not a huge fan of the two tiny vents either.    Maybe a 03 terminator inspired hood but GT350 is nicest I have seen on this car.

Had to clean bird poop off car today so took a new shot.   13in 2 pistons, 14in 4 piston, 15in 6 piston brakes...   whoa there...

Most of these engines (turbo/supercharger) engines get clobbered by heat soak directly related to engine bay heat.  Why it's taken so long to get proper venting is beyond me.  The V3s finally get a vented hood stock yet the Cadillac race cars have had vented hood for awhile now.  Why didn't those get incorporated into the factory holds is beyond me.

Then explain the move with Chevy (Camaro, corvette, and Cadillac) moving towards or now having vented hoods?

Factory vented hoods normally drain somewhere besides right on top of the motor.

Here's a ZL1 for example, it evacuates heat from right behind the radiator, not on top of the motor, and anything that makes it through the vent will end up on the ground.
The new CTS-V has a very similar setup.

I've never been a fan of a "three-piece" spoiler.

Also, If I decide to go back with one, which is unlikely, it'll have to be JHP.

My little blue jelly bean in action on The Dragon this Spring (sub 4.0 0-60)

My "truck" (407 lb/ft and 28+ MPG)

I sold the silver 996 which I bought after another member found it for me. Selling that car was a TERRIBLE decision. The 964 is not mine but I am the curator so I can use it as I see fit. As a 1990 with less than 21,000 miles, I don't see fit particularly often. It still occupies a spot in the. garage.  The family also consists of three motorcycles, two of which are out on loan.

I might buy that if it's built up and on slicks, though.

Alpine. Fully loaded except CCBs.

It's unreal. I've had a few M cars in my life and this one is by far the absolute best. It hauls ass, can't wait to get a baseline Dyno - no way it's 425hp.

Awesome, very good choice! CCBs are overrated and unnecessary in my opinion for the price point. I'm going a similar route - DCT, adaptive suspension, black 19" alloys, executive pkg, lighting pkg, and extended merino black leather with cf trim.

Congrats on the car Definitely would be interested to see those numbers and some more pics!

I've seen a lot of people on the Mustang forums ask how the M4 is so much faster if it has the same weight and power. Universal answer is that it's seriously under-rated and has a monster torque curve. It's a beast!

Autoevolution had a story on an M4 that dyno'd 415/415 @ the wheels and estimated 460 @ the crank.

Nice! Mineral or Alpine White? What options did you go with? I ordered a 2016 M3 in Mineral White a couple weeks ago and it just started production on Friday.

  Alpine. Fully loaded except CCBs.

It's unreal. I've had a few M cars in my life and this one is by far the absolute best. It hauls ass, can't wait to get a baseline Dyno - no way it's 425hp.
I've seen a lot of people on the Mustang forums ask how the M4 is so much faster if it has the same weight and power. Universal answer is that it's seriously under-rated and has a monster torque curve. It's a beast!

From what I've read, and the charts I've seen on the new M3/4 cars, yeah, I've seen it estimated 480 at the crank. Makes my E92 apparently somewhat sluggish by comparison...
