Put her on the garage for the winter. Will ride a few times next summer then I think I may sell it. Having a baby changes perspective a bit.

Looks good. Lots of orange coolaid in this thread.
I love my 1190, I'm finally able to get some seat time on mine (I was injured the night on the day I bought the bike, work related, not on the bike).
Im not able to ride off road much, still going through PT.  Soon very soon until then, it's just mild dual track and back roads.

Hare scramble bikes nearly identical. Rekluse and left hand rear brake on each. Each has about a dozen races on them. Switched from ktm last year. They feel lighter, more nimble and overall more compact.

Sold my 03 525 on Tuesday and was feeling a bit blue...

Drove up to Salem OR ( from Sacramento ) yesterday and picked up this 730 mile WR450f for $4600.   Stock except for the Yosh pipe, the comp ECU and throttle stop screw.

Yeah it needs some supermoto wheels.

I highly recommend this bike as a supermoto.

Had a buddy who just finished his new 500 ride it yesterday and he was really impressed, said he would have picked one up if he had known that the FI version of the WR450 was that good and considering he's had a steel and earlier aluminum framed WR450 at least he has some frame of reference.

I'm super stoked with this thing,  I don't have it sprung for my weight yet but it handles so much better than my '03 KTM which is not surprising with the older floppy like a limp dick frame.  Scraping the edge of my boots in corners is effortless.

aaaaaannnnnddddd it's raining.

You now why this happened,   2 guys I know supermoto kits just showed up and my previously mentioned friend with the new bike.  That is just way to much for the rain gods to stay away.

Sunday and today here in the western NC mtns. Started at 2200' and came out at 5500'. 55 mile loop and 4 hours of mostly slog'n up the mtn Up old washed out jeep trails that were really just an old creekbed in some instances. Up high theres still snow, freeze thaw(frozen ground w slick mud). Slick moss covered rock gardens all the way

Meeting this friend near the trailhead(I trucked my bike). Only 20 minutes from the house.

Started out easy..

Then it got steeper and much more technical. This is a tamer section, where we could stop for a break. A lot of it was steep, wet, and slick, and only momentum wins the day. So you couldn't stop and take pics thru much of the good stuff.

Same spot, looking down what we just came up.

Friend hiking back down after scouting the next 100yrds. We right on the Tenn/NC border. And just below the highest point of the Cherohala skyway.

More steep stuff, straight up the fall line.

Getting higher..

This went on for a few miles. Pretty challenging. All still straight up.

Finally came out here, behind a cabin at 5400. Thank god. Glad we didn't have to backtrack.

Todays ride. About 4 hours of poking around on fire service and 4x4 roads.

Went for a trip to Hollister Hills RVSP last weekend with a buddy to ride. Hollister is about an hour east of Santa Cruz. The rain kept most people away, but we had an awesome time, had a lot of dry spells in the precipitation, and drank around the campfire while we seared ribeyes after riding. Great time, awesome place to ride. Until I went over the bars on his CRF250. Now I am looking for a DRZ400.

View from the campsite

A couple of breakfast beers

Pancakes on the fire

Coffee and sausages (only I can gain weight while doing rigorous exercise)

My buddy on the way up

Me on the way up

If you look past my friend you can see one of the double black diamond trails

Us at the top of one of our ascents

The way back down

His GPS after I high sided the bike AND went over the bars

Ribeye steak reward

Dual sport action pic! lol Actually taken by my wife as we rode 2-up, heading up to a fire tower to enjoy some Subway sandwishes . This is also part of the Trail of Tears where the Cherokee were marched out of the area.

Out riding around the local area.

Talking to Daryl Cannon (owner of Killboy) on the Dragon.

This is less then a mile from my place.

Cherohaha Skyway again.

Another friends converted Yam 426. Ken Wheeler, own of Wheelers near Deals Gap.

I picked up a DRZ400 (2007) to replace my Dakar. It had 2,300 miles on it. I love this bike. I paid a bit over what I could have found if I waited around, but I wanted to take the wife to the Pine Barrens to this past weekend (might not have another chance until May), so it was worth the premium to me.

New bike loaded up.

Pics don't do the sand depth justice, wife on her DR350 riding off road for the first time.

One of the many puddle crossings (got the new bike REALLY dirty).

Very easy to get lost in Wharton State Forest.

New bike, happy rider.

Bonus points if anyone knows where we stopped at after the ride.
