Thank you!

I will snap a pic of it closely tonight when I get home from work and post it for ya.  It was on the Jeep when I got it and thought it was neat, so left them on.  Reminded me of the old comics I used to be into as a kid that had 4x4's with ridiculously over-sized tires.  Can't recall the name of that series, though.

Edit:

Here ya go, pic of the sticker...

Got some work done. Tie rod at the pitman arm was wore out so I replaced it (what a pain in the ass). I also fixed an exhaust leak and thoroughly scrubbed her from top to bottom.

If you know anyone in Texas looking for a set of full doors, tell them I have a free set to donate to their build: https://www.ar15.com/forums/hometown/Anyone-looking-for-Jeep-CJ7-hard-doors-/8-627401/&page=1&anc=-1

Next up I need to find out why the brake pedal stays down when pressed and I want to find some original looking steel 15x7" wheels and get rid of this damn body lift. I also want to figure out how to get a quicker steering box. I feel like I'm turning the wheel 10 times lock to lock lol.

I can’t tell if there are power steering hoses poking over the driver’s side frame rail, but if you don’t have PS, get it.

If it does have PS but doesn’t already have a 1 piece steering box mount, get that.

You can replace the stock PS box a variable ratio PS steering box out of a FSJ or more recently I think I have heard people using one out of one Hummer model or another. I used a box from a J-20 in my CJ-8. Works great.

Lastly, the rag joint in the steering shaft is probably worn out and loose. Replace it or better yet get a an aftermarket version that uses u-joints.

Is that cylinder in the shaft next to the box considered the rag joint? Looks a lot different that what I'm used to.

Yeah, that’s it. It’s not a rag joint, my bad. I think it is commonly known as a bell coupler. At any rate, the bearings and guts in it wear out and get sloppy. I replaced my lower steering shaft/bell coupler with a Borgeson unit but they are pretty spendy. I think Crown or Omix-Ada makes a HD shaft with u-joints at each end that is decent quality and not too expensive.

If you are going to switch PS boxes, figure that out before you replace that coupler or shaft. I had to use a shaft for CJ manual PS box with the FSJ PS box that I installed.

I'm liking all of the TJ love.

I had a u joint strap loosen up on the pinion yoke and reek havoc.

Sent the Tom woods driveshaft in to be rebuilt and ordered an Adams to go in its place.

Both companies are stellar to deal with and highly recommend.

Funny, I just had an Adams rear DS installed this week. The front is going out, but I'm hoping it lasts until Thanksgiving so I can get a Black Friday sale for the front.

Neighbor has had them on his TJ for a while.

Zero issues with what he has put it through.

Plus the price point.  I feel it's an awesome deal.
I got the solid u joints.

The Rebuilt Tom Woods will make a fine spare.

I talked to to the owner when ordering.  Super nice guy.

3" JKS lift?

I've had mine in for a couple months and with the exception of a 'thunk' I've developed I love the thing...

ETA: Or is that the 2"? No arms?

The original kit I installed was a Rough Country 2.5" spacer lift, and it has worked fine, but I wanted to redo it "right". It had relocation brackets for the brake lines instead of extended brake lines, it used shock extensions for the factory shocks, and spacers for the factory springs.
I already did longer sway bar links, adjustable track bar bracket, caster correction (front arm relocation) brackets, exhaust spacers, etc, so this stuff should work well in conjunction with what's already done. I don't expect a full 3.5", because of the weight of my bumpers and spare/carrier.

Got it; JK. Mine's a TJ.

At least on the TJ, they're dual rate coils, so they handle extra weight really well. I used to have quite a bit of sag on my old coils, especially when I had the trailer behind. Now, that's no longer an issue.

I have the same shocks, I like them on my TJ. I did the whole kit and kaboodle from them.

Most of my build has been Currie and Metalcloak, been extremely happy with all of it so stayed with Curries. Still have the rear to replace, probably gonna be a rockjock 60 over the winter when I tummy tuck and add the SSYE/driveshaft.

Edit: also contacted Dana but they never responded.
