Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - No ACC mode ignition

Have a 97 f350. Ignition cylinder won't turn to acc mode. Tried lubing it with graphite and still no dice. Am I correct in that a new ignition cylinder is in order or maybe something in the column?

Put in a new cylinder before that one eats your key.  If that happens you won't be able to push the cylinder release button.

I bought one at Napa for about $15 and it came with Ford branded keys.
