I've had good results with the Bilstein 5100's on both my F350's ('99 and '13)

Keeping it awhile? If so, the above posters nailed it. Selling it in a short while, toss on a set of standard shockers [not "heavy duty"] Monroes.

Another vote for the 5100 series Bilsteins.  I immediately replaced the "Rancho" shocks that came stock with my King Ranch given all the reports that the factory model caused bad hopping.  Been very happy for 2.5 years with them.

I have KYB MonoMax on my Suburban and have no complaints. Fine on the highway and handle fire roads nicely as well.

I'm curious.

Are you guys just making a generic 4x4 reply  or what you've experienced with regards to a twin I beam 2wd or are they that good on a 2wd?

Not flaming just curious as I have the 7.3 version of the op's truck

Bilstein's have been on road race cars to full bore off roading rigs. I have them on my '84 K5 Blazer, along with rough country 2" leaf springs. My ride is very nice, maybe a lil soft for hardcore off roading but the ride on the road is equal to anything modern.

Putting nice shocks on a 2wd truck will help with cornering, braking and the ride.

These worked great on my F250.  Super easy to install. Took me a half hour each. Fixed my tire chop quickly.
