If you couldn't afford the car new, you certainly can't afford it used.

Hell no.  I work for a national BMW parts retailer and can tell you repairs and regular maintenance would run into the thousands of dollars annually.

I know they are appealing because they were $80k new and can be had for close to $10k now used.   Look elsewhere.  Nice 2 or 3 year old Accord for similar money maybe.

I worked for BMW for 19yrs.......RUN THE FUCK AWAY from a 745i/li.

The 750i/li E65/66 was a much better car but if someone gave me an E65/66, I wouldn't even drive it, I'd sell it before some fucking light in the dash came on.

I think an X5 might be more your style anyways.  I wouldn't even worry about high mileage, their reliability has been constant since day one.

Not true! The shower option is very rare!  Why is it so rare you ask?

GREAT QUESTION!

Because most with this feature have shorted the wiring and burned to the ground.

Nothing to add beyond the fact that I see quite a few late BMW 7 series cars in various stages of LS swappage on the LS boards I frequent.

I'm sure there's no logical reason for that though

Around here most of the used 7's get purchased by the ghetto crowd
