Got the tranny out, it's already at the tranny shop all tore apart, cleaned, and thoroughly inspected. It was basically just fried, completely wore out, no hard parts were broken which is a good thing. We are just replacing the main drum, pump gears, and freshening it up with new clutches, steels, bands, bushings, seals, ect.. I got this tranny used a couple years ago and I have a feeling it was in need of being freshened up when I got it. I can't believe the car went as fast as it did with a completely whooped tranny. We also found two issues from the previous build, one clutch was riding against a spring plate verse a steel, and there was a seal in backwards. Everything else looked good except the wear items were smoked, and it looked as if its been that way for a long time. With the tranny being fresh it may actually hold up pretty decent. I'm sure there is more power on the table as well, I wouldn't be surprised if it made another 50-100hp at the wheels. I'm just happy that it happened here and not in BG. That is the reason why I tested prior to leaving. |

I've changed ALOT sense these pictures were taken but you will get the idea. Goal was to have a normal looking 8 second street car that I could drive any where. It's at the paint shop right now, we just disassembled the entire car, replaced all of the body plastic, seals, and hood. It's super bright white with satin black accents (painted on). I also made a custom set of wheels for it, and added a QD parachute that is actuated by my cruise control button. :-)
Interior is all real Carbon Fiber. All of the Billet accents are matte Nickel plated. 
The car does seat 5. I made a custom rear seat so that myself, my wife, and our 3 kids can go cruising together. 
Car has decent trunk space and a killer sound system. I even sound dampened the entire car, roof, doors, 2-3 layers.. I wanted a SMOOTH and QUIET car, it just so happens to improve the sound quality to. 
Car is powered by a custom Accufab engine. It's a high rpm, high compression, 4v turbo mod motor. 
The car utilizes two Precision Billet wheel 62mm turbos. 
I'm sure you guys will reconigizing some of these coatings..

Newer pics of the paint progress. It's been there for almost 3 months now. We are doing the final assembly now, thank god because I only have about 4 weeks to get ready.
I made a custom plug to fill the parachute hole in the bumper when it's not in use. The plug is painted the color of the car and has a back up camera integrated into it. It looks like an OEM back up camera. 
Actuator for the parachute. 
Parachute main tube was made into an air tank. Car has an on board air system for boost control. 
Parachute pack mount will be painted to match the car. 
Test fitting the new rear wheels for like the 5th time! I can't decide if I want the bead lock rings white to match the car or black? 
Rear wheel after being widened. 
Rear wheel after being widened and bead locked. 
We made custom Billet washers designed for a 12pt screw. Washers are Hardcoat anodized. 
Fronts were narrowed. 
Tweaking the off set. 
The new rears are 17" while the new fronts are 18". That will be my track setup, for street use I'll run the wide 18" fronts with 18" rears. I can go back and forth between street trim and race trim in about 30 minutes. |

The rear back up camera and parachute mount is completed. I'm happy with how they turned out, it's pretty trick. I don't think any normal personal will know that the camera is only there to fill the hole in the bumper left behind when the parachute isn't on the car. I can switch from rear camera to parachute in apx. 2 minutes. I'll keep the parachute in a duffle bag inside the trunk so it's always with the car.
Hood is done, just needs the black accents put on the face of each louver on top, and the center of the bottom side will be satin black as well. Then we need to install the LED lighting as well as the gauges and grill for the rear cowl vent.

your car is nasty but i remember your old fox and the first time i saw it at spikes when i came up to have you tweak my ar15 22 pistol. i am big in mustang stuff and modular so i can say you defiantly have a nasty setup actually my Lincoln race car is b headed with PT94 turbo. not sure with sema and pri and shot show i can make it to nots but i have some other friends going as well. i hope to make it out and see every one compete.

Here is the KOTS pass, my car had way to much fuel (10.0 A/F) and it was slow! I tried jacking up the fuel pressure to compensate for the injectors being maxed out and it bit me in the ass because it added way to much fuel! I went from not enough fuel on the dyno to way to much at the track! I'll be going to 120lb injectors when we get home, that is the real fix here. Everyone had issues today, so they are not even going to count the track runs, so no one will be scored on them. So I lucked out. Because I did awesome in fit and finish, engineering and street ability. I was probably in the middle of the pack for the dyno deal. And we aren't doing bad with popular votes either. I still have a shot at winning this thing..

Here's some. It was pretty much a track car for the previous owner apparently. Only had about 24-25k miles when I bought it (early 09), but you could tell it was rode hard. It had subframe connectors, spool in the rear, DOT drags (315 series steamrollers), and a whole bunch of other shit I can't remember right now.

We took the Mustang on it's first family road trip! We drove it to Naples for Thanksgiving break. We drove it every where, we probably put 700 miles on it. It cruises 70-75 MPH around 2200-2500 RPM, engine temp was 162*-176*. Thing is so smooth, man I love this car.
Stopped at Performance Plus for some C16 and Track Bite so we could play Saturday night. :-) 
Here's the best part, almost 25 MPG on the highway!!!! How bad ass is that??

Nice car you got there. I read through the whole thread but I did not see anything on the coating you used on the turbo hot side. Not sure what to do with mine just yet. I was thinking of Swaintech but I am not a fan of the white. I like the black look you have on yours. I am taking off the blower on my 06 GTO and going twin turbo also. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
