Damn that's a good idea too. Seen guys using blue masking tape but that's real gay. :-)

Can't remember who makes it (maybe VHT), but there's a spray-on "clear bra" type product out there. You can peel it right off whenever you want. Think there may even be colors too.

I actually have some of that stuff, it's really super messy. I never had luck with it, the rubber just smears every where. It's called burn out guard I believe.

Check out this stuff:

I've used PlastiDip in black before to "chrome delete" badges and decals on vehicles with good results. You could tape off and spray the quarter panel with the clear, hit the track, peel and repeat. It's inexpensive and Walmart's 1 hour north of you have it in stock all the time...

And nice Mustang too! Your attention to detail in your vehicle and products is amazing!

Just gotta install everything now. :-)

I even Cerakoted the valves black too. Finish chipped a little when I tightened them on. I took a tiny brush and touched up those little flaws. You can't even tell now. The Black Velvet Cerakote is really easy to work with.

Thing purrs like a kitten, I've been daily driving it for a little over a year now, gets 24.62 MPG, has all factory accessories plus added luxuries not found in a Mustang, and it seats 5! I absolutely love it. Took me a long time getting it where it is today but man it was so worth it!

ETA: There is no emissions in Florida so I'm good there. It's quieter than a Stock Mustang GT! :-)

Exhaust is finally done and on the car, it sounds amazing!!

It's a little more aggressive at idle.

It's almost just as quiet driving down the road.

And when your in the throttle it sounds super mean.

I don't know how it ended up working out this way, but it was exactly what I was looking for!!

The car is loving the new 3" exhaust, it's building boost faster, and overall the drive ability seems much better too. Only problem I ran into is the evac valves are sucking oil into the exhaust, I have to put oil seperators in line or come up with a better solution.

More pics. :-)

"Nice engraving"

Hey guys here's some updates on my custom Ford Racing edition SBR. There's still a couple more parts that I'm waiting on and I'm still tweaking it here and there until it's absolute perfection but for the most part it's finished and it shoots absolutely amazing by the way. It came in under 5lbs with an empty 30rd Pmag. It's 23.75" OAL and it handles and feels amazing, incredible balance. It also has virtually no recoil at all, it's so super smooth! I'm in love with this little guy.

I know earlier I mentioned Cerakoting the upper and lower receivers, the hand guard, and the buffer tube in bright white to match the cars paint, but at the last minute I decided against it. I wanna be able to shoot the hell out of this little guy and I don't feel like spending hours upon hours trying to clean up the white paint. So the rifle will be black with the grey anodized Titanium accents. I wish I could find that same color paint to color fill the milled engravings on the receivers, it would go with the other accents and make it look like some type of special anniversary rifle. Thought about doing an ejection port door with the 50th year anniversary Mustang engraving on it. Maybe ghosted into the surface.

Here's the pics!

Stay tuned for pics of it 100% completed. In the near future I'll be fabricating a secret compartment inside the car to store the matching rifle.

From the other thread:

And here is the Ford Racing Edition SBR that I've been working on. We will never offer anything Ford related but I wanted to build something special for myself. It's not quite finished yet, I'm still waiting on a few small parts and I need to have a few parts coated. But here it is all mocked up. The upper and lower receivers, SAR 3 hand guard, and buffer tube will be Cerakoted Gloss white (paint matched to the car). Then all the milled engraving will be color filled in Gloss black. The outside of the barrel and the Barking Spider will be Cerakoted in High Temp black Velvet. It's a hair over 23" OAL. I haven't weighed it yet but it's pretty damn light and handy. I'll be building a trick compartment inside the car to store the rifle. The lower receiver has the Ford Racing logo milled into it and the upper receiver has the cars VIN # milled into it. The bolt carrier is also laser engraved with the Ford Racing logo. The rifle has a lot of Titanium components and all of them have been hard anodized Grey. I'll be putting an Aimpoint T1 on the rifle and most likely a small light too. Here's the pics.

Just over 1000rwhp on 23 psi. I can safely run 30 psi and I gain about 25-30hp per lbs of boost.
