THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT I cannot stress enough the importance of good gear, who knows how much worse off I would be if I was wearing the cheap stuff. I walked out of the ER that day with a badly sprained right ankle, a bruised rib, a tiny cut on my right pinkie finger and a broken spirit, lol. Here is a pic of what the crash looked like: Wheee!!
My ankle was close to the size of a softball, but was not broken.
Pics of the bike, broken, but fixable:
Pics of my gear:
Just a minor headache
Owieee!!
My new lid is on its way. Ridiculous prices are available from ridersdiscount, by the way...
At the end of the day, no excuses, buy the best goddamn gear you can afford. It saved my hide, and I am forever in it's debt. Patrick |

Good to hear you're ok.
On a side note, what does it cost to run on that track? |

Sucks to wreck, but at least you're ok and will ride another day. All that gear is cheaper than the ER bill...just went through it myself a couple months ago (on the street). Gear saved my hide.

The good news is that you walked away. The better news is your shit is already torn and scratched. You should be twice as fast now that your not worried about tearing it up!

I always tell people, good gear is one hell of a lot cheaper then skin grafts. Buy the gear and be happy.

My safety gear prevented me from crashing my motorcycle at the racetrack too.
It's known as a 'frontal lobe'... TRG |

Damn! Did you even have time to think "Oh Shit" or was it all said and done before you could gather that thought? How fast were you running?

Nope, I remember thinking through the turn, feeling ok, feeling ok, whoa, something is wrong, then just saying "oh fuck, oh fuck oh fuck" as I was tumbling. Don't remember the honda sponsored flying lesson or the failed landing at all. Probably was going about 55-60, but I don't look at the speedo when I'm running. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |
