I haven't e-filed yet but have plugged all of my info into H&R Block Tax Cut.    I'm showing about $1,000 less in refunds this year versus last year.   My income went up slightly but all of my other expenses and deductions are basically the same as year.  I've gone through everything twice.

Anyone else having the same issue?  I wonder if deductions and credit amounts went down.

No, I haven't changed any with holdings.

One thing that I have noticed is that my child credit amount has changed.  This is due to an increase in income.  Instead of getting $1000/child, I'm now getting $825.  So that explains some of it...

Yep, same here, last year I got back around $1400, this year i'm getting $40.  Although my income went up around 10K too.  Gotta pay for those obama phones somehow

It shouldnt change in increments of $25, it should change in increments of $50 for every $1000 above $110,000 you make.

The investment income is what's driving my refund down.

However, it's putting me at about $700, and I increased my exemptions on my W-4 to 2 this year trying to account for it. O well, hopefully next year I'll get closer to my net $0.
