I'm wondering what all tax issues I may face should I start a gofundme for a tankchair

My current powerchair sucks offroad and is not conducive to my shooting and hunting hobbies. Several of my arfcom buddies have suggested this route but I'm skeptical. Any tips?

Just off the top of my head, you can give a yearly gift of around 12k to a person without you or the other person incurring any tax liability. I would htink the go fund me deal would operate as tens or hundreds of non taxable gifts. Could be wrong.
