Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - All you IRS agents or Tax Accountants...

I sent in an amended return for previous year...it's been about 7 weeks, snail mail. The IRS has no record of it yet. Should I go to a service center or give them more time since its tax time???

Anytime I put 'important' documents in the mail..or a money order...I always ship expediently (2-3 day) with tracking.  Sure, this doesn't guarantee it won't get "lost", but it certainly helps answer the question "Did it get there?"
