Hey brother.

I'm with 1/7. Glad you made it back from Afghan safely! Were you a dog handler also? I was a dog handler back in 2008 for our Iraq deployment, but they ended up taking our dogs away right before we deployed, bastards.

Anyways, just wanted to send a shout-out from across the basketball courts. Yut

Worked for KBR in Iraq from March 2009 to August 2011. Started at Marez in Mosul, moved to Q-West, moved to Liberty, ended up at Victory.
I bought that gravel you all were tripping on everday in Iraq.

Some pics from the deployment I'm currently on. Spent a month in Taji, Iraq before ending up where I am for the remainder. Honestly, I miss Taji

were they the early IDD program dogs from K2?
I did love my job, working hard is what K9s do…. I was born for it, I lived for it, and died for it; for my country….but mostly for you.

An old T-62 tank on display. The red part of the Afghan National Army symbol seems to have been bleached white in the sun.

An Su-7, probably as old as the hills!

Doing a FAMFIRE on the fantail of the USS Abraham Lincoln during my last deployment. That day we went through 11,500 rounds of A557.

I'm on the right...

That was a Bible Study Group we got started at Camp Clark. It's about 45 min away from Salerno. I was fortunate enough to go through Salerno quite a bit in 2009. Those guys were amazing, you get to know them for 5 minutes and they'll let you requisition anything you want!

Definitely a solid group out there. Started at BAF then went forward to 373 in '09.
