Do you have a link to a published policy for the 50% discount at Arbys? I don't think my local Arbys will believe me when I tell them they are supposed to give me half off.

- Verizon has a discount for Law Enforcement and Military (20%, I think)
- Lenscrafters has a discount for Law Enforcement and Military (also 20%, if I remember correctly) - Oakley and Asics both do 50% off for Law Enforcement, if you order direct those are the only ones I know of, since I don't ask for discounts. those are just the ones who asked me where I work and then gave me the discount automatically. |

My girlfriend works at Lowe's and just told me they changed their policy on giving discounts to military personnel. You have to ask for it though. I believe she said you'd get 10% off. This discount is for everyday and not just holidays.

Hot Topic gives 10% off for military in their brick and mortar stores. To get the discount online, you have to log into AAFES.com and go through the "Centric Mall" link.

Lowes and Home Depot in the Ft Campbell area only do military discounts Memorial/Veterans Day weekends. When I was at Ft Bliss, Lowes always did military discounts.
Seems that many Ft Campbell area places used to do military discounts, but no longer ... Military community, and I suppose many local vendors don't really feel that they need to do it. Mostly active & retired military consumers, and where else are they going to go? Also, noticed now that I'm retired, no longer qualify for military discount. Too bad. |

random first post, but i wanted to confirm for you guys that the lowes 10% for all active, reserve, guard, and retired is good all year. As a former employee the message was sent down from corporate Memorial Day '08. It is only advertised for Memorial Day and the 4th, but it is valid anytime.

I saw at a Johnny Rockets in Avondale, AZ a 50% discount in uniform and a 10% with a valid ID card. Pretty good burgers.

Never had Chipotle give me a discount... even when in uniform... Lowes and HD around here (phoenix, az) only seem to give one on memorial and veterans day. Asked when it wasn't those days and got denied w/ CAC. Oh, and to the poster who said the reason most places don't give out the discount anymore is because we ask for it when not in uniform... that's just silly... I mean, in uniform or not I still am on-duty 24/7/365 holiday or not. LE, FD, EMT's and mil all should get discount 24/7, because our job is volunteer 24/7 so that other's don't have to.... just my 2cents...

Anyone got the link that works for the Glock discount.
Local gun store here says it is $492. Which is more than the $398 posted here. |
