My son is heading to Boot next week. on the 23rd but after boot they require a 10 day leave... we cant seem to find out if the marines will pay for his trip from home to SOI? Note: we are bringing him home after boot..
any help would be great Thanks |

No, it is leave. He has to pay to get back.

Greyhound it or drive him. Make sure he knows the report time.

Nope, he pays for it. I took a Greyhound back to Camp Geiger.

They require everyone to purchase a train or flight ticket (maybe a bus ticket too, it's been a while) regardless of whether or not family will come pick them up.
