Sights and sounds, Zumba and salsa night, Starbucks or green bean
Nothing in particular really. More just looking what's going on there, silly rules and regs I should watch or start working on avoiding, etc. |

We're practically jumping over ourselves to get out of Panjwai, despite it still being largely in the hands of the Taliban.

So hollowly declaring victory doesn't mean that we're actually victorious?

Lots of NATO there, some decent looking British/Romanian/Australian chicks |

if you hear incoming, you're supposed to remain in the open and assume the fetal position, and not go to a bunker until after the alarm stops. you know, seek cover AFTER the incoming is done.
who the fuck is running the army these days anyway? |

As MG Abrams the 3ID CG would say,
"The Devil is at Kandahar Airfield." We have TCN prostitution rings, drug problems, alcohol problems, random senior leaders getting caught with various other ranks getting dirty by the poo pond, to many contractors, to many NTV's, not enough housing, shitty food, shitty internet, several trannys running around suprising unsuspecting Soldiers and rocket attacks, VBIED's, Green on Blue scares, a shitty 25m range, and a Garrison mentality. SALUTE ME NAOOOOOOO! I will be here for a while longer so feel free to PM me for any more details.... |
|
Heh... MG Abrams...
He about had a meltdown when the KAF CDR (AF 1-star) said he would not institute KAF as a salute base. When he tried to start that in/around the HQ... we just shook our heads as we were too close to elaving for that stuff. What he should have been focused on was the sheer obesity of the vast majority of his primary staff... |

My buddy and I sighed and walked into the nearest bunker... directly outside of which two guys were face down in the muck screaming at people to get town. A few minutes later they came into the bunker and tried to school everyone on how you were supposed to shelter in place for 2 minutes before seeking cover. After a few rounds of "That makes no fucking sense!" they shut up Although I was really hoping they would press the issue - 45 minutes in a bunker is fucking boring. |

The KAF immediate action drill is basically gun control legislation. It doesn't actually DO anything constructive, if anything it puts people unnecessarily at risk, but it makes the stupid ones think someone in charge did something, and provides a feel-good effect for those who don't have any effective leadership skills. |

Garrison broke out here and in Iraq a long time ago. If there is a sniper on KAF, its most likely in the form of cubicle sniping up at Division and COMKAF. The districts in RC-S are still hopping but LOL at a sniper @ KAF.
And I guarantee you will salute here. Unless you like shitty details, pushups, and getting yelled at from the position of Attention. But I guess you'd have to be here first of all Now if I can just find a way to motherfuck 3ID without getting in too much trouble.... |

Guy, this place isn't a walk in the fucking park. This place sucks hard. Having Division and all the associated higher ups, along with all the other higher ups makes this place one of the worst to be around.
People die here and in the surrounding districts all the time. |
