Baseball Season is starting.

In the past managers were fired by the bushel full.  The last few seasons there were only a couple firings.
How bloody will THIS season be?  Will Baseball Lords resume wholesale firings or will they remain with retail amounts?  How many Quitters will there be?

Interesting.

June is almost here and nobody has been fired.
Any ideas why manager firing seems to be passé

The Middle July has passed and still nobody has been fired!

Any suggestions why

It is a little unusual.  Maybe the owners figure it's not the managers fault, if the players can't hit or pitch.

Updates:

Resigning or quitting doesn't qualify as being fired.
That being said Terry Collins of the NY Mets quit Monday, October 2 after the last game of the season.

The Phillies said that Pete Makanin will NOT be returning next season.  It is unclear At This Moment if he was fired or he quit.

OK...Corrections and updates here:

The Phillies manager Pete Mackanin won’t return in the same capacity next season, the team announced Friday. Mackanin will instead begin working as a special assistant to the general manager.

BUT we Do Too have a "Winner".

Tigers Manger Brad Ausmus Fired
Daniel Rapaport September 22, 2017
The Tigers won't extend manager Brad Ausmus' contract when it expires after this season, the team announced on Friday.

The Tigers are 62-91 on the season and are in the midst of a comprehensive rebuild. This season, the team traded away key pieces J.D. Martinez, Justin Upton and Justin Verlander, evidence that management is prioritizing the future over trying to compete in the short term.
