Rules
Draft
Each entrant will draft two F1 drivers, and two Indy drivers that will be your team. Your team drivers will be the same every race, unless you drop or trade them. The draft will be a snake style, with the last pick of the first round getting the 1st pick of the second round. Each team gets 12 hours to make a draft pick, or they will automatically pick the highest rank driver. Draft order is picked by random.

Prizes
Each member donates $10, all of the entry donations will go towards prizes.
The overall winner will get the championship trophy.
The winner of the F1 and Indy points championships will each receive an AR15.com team membership.
Whoever has the highest overall weekly points will win a Pmag.
Whoever has the most high point races will win a Pmag.

Weekly Pick
Each team will pick one driver per race as their weekly pick. The weekly pick can be any driver, including your own, they are separate from your team drivers. Each weekly driver can only be picked once, for each series (you will have a different weekly pick every race). Weekly picks must be made before qualifying of that race. If you fail to make a weekly pick on time, or you pick a driver you have picked before, you will receive 0 points for your weekly pick. Please remember not to edit your picks after qualification, until race results are posted for that race.

Trades, Adds, Drops and Injuries
After the draft, any team may add or drop their drivers for any available driver throughout the season. Teams may also trade drivers, until the trade deadline. The trade deadline is the beginning of qualifying for the Indy Pocono race. All trades, adds and drops should be sent to me by both teams, before qualifying that week. Any trades, adds or drops sent after qualifying begins will take effect after that race weekend. All dropped drivers will have a 48 hour waiver period. The lower ranked team by total points, will have priority if placing a claim on a waiver driver. If a driver will miss a race, a team is permitted to retain that driver and add any available driver, until the original driver is able to race again. The team must drop one of their drivers when their original driver returns.

Points
For F1 races, points will be distributed with first place receiving 20 points, and every other position receiving one less, with twentieth place will receiving 1 point. Because Indy car has a shorter season and more drivers, they will receive an extra 5 points per position, with first place receiving 25 points, and twentieth receiving 6. No points will be awarded to any driver who completes less than 70% of the race distance. 1 bonus point will be awarded to the driver on pole position.

The new green colored font can be hard to read, so in the racing spirit purple will now be used to indicate an improvement in the rankings, or the highest score of the race.

I don't care who does it but someone must crush BPK2300.

That someone cannot be me as I've consistently shown I'm incapable of doing that...but it must be done.

That really sucked watching both my drivers, Reay and Sato, stopping on track with 6 to go.

So I thought I had this typed out last night, apparently not.

Rule clarification time, can a certain driver be picked on the weekly picks for both IndyCar and F1 since he will run races in both series?

We're going to have to look into this as well as whether or not that driver can be replaced as a team driver for that week.

Might require a modification to the rules so we'll vote on it.

I say if the driver races both series we can pick him once for each series. Specifically, I want to pick Alonso for the 500, and I already have him for this weekend.

I was planning on Alonso for the 500, and Button for Monaco. I'm open for whatever.  So M4, does your driver default to Button since Alonso is your team driver?  For that matter, does everyone default to the reserve driver if someone is out?

A strict interpretation to the rules does not allow either:

"Each weekly driver can only be picked once (you will have a different weekly pick every race)."

"If a driver will miss a race for medical reasons, a team is permitted to retain that driver and add any available driver, until the original driver is able to race again. The team must drop their extra driver when their original driver returns."

I propose a modification of the above rules, to read:

"Each weekly driver can only be picked once, for each series (you will have a different weekly pick every race)."

"If a driver will miss a race, a team is permitted to retain that driver and add any available driver, until the original driver is able to race again. The team must drop one of their drivers when their original driver returns."

If you agree to the above rule changes, please post "yes"
If you disagree to the above rule changes please post "no"

The vote will run until either choice gets five votes, or until next Friday, majority will win.
