Make that Tuesday:
Fredi Gonzalez realized he was fired after getting flight reservation email

The Atlanta Braves fired manager Fredi Gonzalez on Tuesday, but he figured out what the team was planning thanks to an airline email.

The Braves played in Pittsburgh Monday night for the first of a four-game series against the Pirates. About an hour after Atlanta's 8-5 loss, Gonzalez received an email that contained information about a Tuesday morning flight to Atlanta, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Monday's loss dropped the Braves to an MLB-worst 9-28 record, so Gonzalez knew he was on the hot seat and the email helped him figure out what the team was planning. The Braves had made the decision to fire him booked his commercial flight home Tuesday. They wanted to wait to tell him in person until president of baseball operations John Hart flew to Pittsburgh to join general manager John Coppolella, according to the AJC.

Yep.  It will be interesting  to see how the next manager fares with that team.

I'm still waiting for the Braves to magically become great, now that they have a new manager.

August is nearly over and still, Only One Manager has been fired this season.

Any ideas besides a Blood Post-Season

Robin Ventura Quits.
CHICAGO -- Robin Ventura sat down in the U.S. Cellular Field Conference and Learning Center Sunday evening following a 6-3 White Sox loss to complete the 2016 season and made official what had been speculated upon for at least the past few weeks.

There will be a new White Sox manager for the 2017 season, a decision initially made by Ventura well before this final week.

Quitting doesn't count as a Firing, but shows The Post Season Has Arrived.

Any picks

Diamondbacks fire Chip Hale

The Arizona Diamondbacks then canned Chip Hale after two years, along with GM Dave Stewart. He’s not a manager, but Barry Bonds was also reportedly fired Monday as Miami Marlins hitting coach.

The Post Season is here and Only Two Managers have been fired this year.

This is extremely unusual.  Normally there are enough managers fired every year to fill a Trump rally.  This year there are more people at a Hillary rally than there were managers fired.

Does anybody think things will stay this way until Next Year?  Or will managers once again be threatened with extinction
