Once roster is locked you will not receive points or be able  select drivers on A, B, C list

Well having Jr and Chase wreck killed me on all 3 leagues.  

I had them for Yahoo & NASCAR but change up drivers in FOX cause the way system works their

Most excellent. I'm not starting out the season as a trophy winner , unfortunately.

I tanked on all three games today. I beat the guy that forgot to make his picks by 20 points or something on the NASCAR game.

I had Chase as a starter, and two others that crashed.

How did I only get 4 points in the NASCAR league?  

My picks were done well ahead of time, they even still show up.  

Same, same.

I don't understand that league I only have 13.5 points.  

 

This is a brutal point system  two of my top drivers didn't  finish the race it cost me -81 points for my picks

and for yours -106

basically if you lose a driver you lose points

TUNABOMBER had the 20, 11, 13, 1, 23, all finished the race for a total of 188 he also had a -13 point differential

because drivers finishing below their start position

Please don't give up in one race could be a huge turn around

I noticed the top score in that game today was 342 or something like that. That is crazy.

They tweaked the scoring a bit this year. Makes those lesser value choices even harder now.

I. SCORING CATEGORIES:
Drivers are scored across four (4) statistical categories, originating from NASCAR’s official Race scoring. If a Driver on a participant’s Team Roster does not compete in a Race or is replaced by a substitute Driver, that Driver will be awarded zero (0) points for that Race. Regardless of what car they are in, the only Drivers who will receive points are those that actively start a Race.

Laps Led: Total number of laps led divided by 2. Example: If Carl Edwards lead 70 laps, he would earn 35 points. NASCAR Timing & Scoring will be the official source of this statistical category.

Fastest Laps: Total number of fastest laps divided by 2. Example: If Denny Hamlin recorded 50 fastest laps, he would earn 25 points. NASCAR Timing & Scoring will be the official source of this statistical category.

Place Differential: Starting position (based on official qualifying order) minus finish position, +/- 1 point for each driver’s place differential. Example: If Jimmie Johnson started 7th but finished 1st, his place differential would be +6, and he would earn 6 points. If Kevin Harvick started 6th and finished 10th, his place differential would be -4, earning him -4 points.

Finishing Position: 1st place gets 43 points, 2nd place gets 39, 3rd place gets 38, 4th place gets 37 points and so on in decrements of one point per position, with 40th place earning 1 point. The Game will be scored based on the final Race results tabulated by NASCAR Timing and Scoring.

Bonus Points:

Car Manufacturer: 10-point bonus for picking the winning car manufacturer for that week. Selection DOES NOT carry over from week to week; a new pick must be made each Race.

Winning Driver: 30-point bonus for picking that week’s winning driver. For example, if Kyle Busch is selected as that week’s winning driver, and Kyle Busch wins that week’s race, the player will receive 30 bonus points. No points will be lost for not selecting the winning driver. Selection DOES NOT carry over from week to week; a new pick must be made each Race. Pick for this bonus category is not required to be on the entry’s active five-driver team roster.

Huh.  I played that league last year and never had that happen.  

I mentioned it in the race thread but I think it should also be pointed out here that my 8yo son beat ALL OF US in the Fox league today.  

Yuppers, the scoring in this one is wacky.  Pick drivers who lead laps.

Deadline to select your drivers is Feb 26 5:00am EST THIS IS FRIDAY MORNING

Pick the right drivers and you get points if you pick the top 3 qualifiers, and doesn't matter if they are A or B team you get the points

Well, this probably won't be occupying much of my time anymore.

It looks like the Fox fantasy league requires you to re-pick every week. That ain't happening.
NASCAR requires you to re-pick the bonus picks. Nope.
Yahoo already has me locked out from changing drivers. WTF? I'm now stuck with someone that isn't entered for Atlanta.

So not screwing with this stuff since it's so high friction.

Who were the winners this year?

I managed to finish 2nd in both the Fox and Yahoo leagues.  The Nascar Fantasy league I think I got 13th, but I pretty  much gave up on it after the first couple of races.  The scoring was way to weird and I didn't like it.
