Sorry for posting something not about guns, but its a REALLY late xmas gift for a family member and I really dont know much about baseball

I've been looking at
http://www.fatswing.com/Gloves_c_23.html
and
http://www.rawlingsgear.com/baseball/baseball-gloves/

What are some brands//types of gloves that will best fit a 16 year old male ? He is a 3rd baseman.

I've been reading some good things about Rawlings.

Thanks in advance!

I would look at a 11 3/4" wilson s2000 (or S2k) for that age and playing third.

Here's a decent guideline

I have 1 Wilson and all kinds of Rawlings gloves, I'd buy another Rawlings....if I didn't have more than enough now

eta: I have all the gloves I ever owned.  they're all in good condition.. just gotta take care of 'em.

Nokona makes a great glove and they're made in the USA. I have a black 12 inch Kangaroo hide Nokona that my dad bought me when I was 13 in 1989. Other than some fading and slight pad thinning, it's still 100%.

Rawlings Heart of the Hide are very nice and used by alot of major league player. They run in the $185-$250 range

The Wilson A2000 is probably the most used line in MLB. $250 +/-

I have probably a dozen gloves and catchers mitts that range from $150-$350 and a 11.5 Rawlings HOTH is what I use the most. I did find a marked down 11.5 inch Insignia at Sports Authority of all places. It listed at $279, it was marked down to $79 and I scooped it up real quick. It's a very well constructed glove and will likely be used by my 8y/o for next dozen years. Insignia's are also made in the US.

I miss playing. I like the Rawlings pro models. The s2k is a nice series as well.

At that age my son was using a Rawlings Pro Preferred.  He used the Wilson A2000 before the Rawlings and preferred the Rawlings.  I wouldn't spend Pro Preferred money unless he is really into baseball and looking to play at a high level.

2 for nokona. I'm 27 bought it when i was in high school to play baseball & still use it every summer and fall to play slowpitch. Other than having to re-lace it a few times, feels and looks pretty much brand new. Hands down best glove i've ever bought.
