So after a shakeup at church I seem to have wound up with care and feeding of the web page. However it seems to be created / maintained by Joomla. The last time I did web pages it was by coding the html myself via text editors. This seems to be a myriad of menus and very little documentation that I can find so far.  Any one got any good links to tutorials? Ditching the program isn't an option yet.

Yikes. I'm sure you could Google up joomla administration, they have good docs.

That said it's pretty insecure last I knew

Just go to squarespace and make a new site.
