I used Acrobat Pro XI for a few years with no issues. I just got switched to Acrobat Pro DC and am trying how to do the things I did easily in Pro XI.

Editing one of my .PDF files, I see this on a few of the images:

WTF??  I've created hundreds of .PDF files and have never seen this before.

What causes it and most importantly, how do I fix it?

ETA:  In EDIT mode, I can drag the image to a new location and the shadowing remains in place.  I'm stumped.
