Some of the newer chromebooks allow android apps from the google app store. Have you played with that at all? Do the majority of the apps behave correctly?

Aside from a few specific apps, I watch a lot of amazon & netflix offline content. Have you tried to install these apps and attempted to download any shows to watch offline?

My current chromebook (which I'm typing on right now) is starting to get to the point where the battery only has a few good hours of life (It used to be 5-8 hours), so I'm looking at upgrading. If I can get away with not having to bring an additional tablet for netflix/amazon, that would be perfect.
