Has anyone bought one yet?  The biggest complaints I am seeing now are the power cord and cost of the Nest Aware subscription service.  

For the power brick problem I am assuming you can bypass the power brick and use an electrical outlet with a USB plug?

The subscription service I understand the company has to continue to make money..blah blah.
