Screen size really isn't important.

What I need this for:

My home internet connection is crap. If I want anything off you tube, updates or apps, I need to go to the county library and download it there.

I will not be using it for anything but this, no gaming or such. It's more for me to bring info back to my PC at home.

I want to get it off Amazon, if I can, as I live in a very rural area and the nearest Best Buy is 50 miles away and I don't care for running back and forth when I have a problem. I would rather ship it back.

Refurbished or new? I don't know.

I got a refurbished Dell Latitude E6230 with 250 GB HDD, 6 GB RAM, Core i5 processor, Win 7/64. Latitude is their business-oriented model line. Got it through NewEgg, for $170.00 shipped, and have been very pleased with it. The refurbisher was Joy Systems. It was in very clean condition. It has a 13 inch monitor. It's probably 4 years old, not the latest/greatest, but a good, basic laptop. The inventory seemed to change frequently- I kept checking until I saw what I wanted.

I'm probably going to swap to a SSD when I can find one for cheap. I've gotten spoiled by my desktop SSD. Also look on Dell's website.
