Laser jet all the way.
On ink jets, it needs to clean the heads to keep the jet channel clear, and if you leave the printer sitting on for any lenght of time, it going to empty the cartage ink into is foam container just for such, instead of being used for printing on paper instead. Worst yet, you unplug the machine so it not just dumping ink to keep the head clean, and this end up with the jet channels on the head clogged with dry ink, and you end up playing the wet towel game trying to get them clear of the dried ink and save the cartage instead. Bottom line, if you get a ink jet, they may as well just give it to you for free. Why, in the matter of a year, your going to end up spending more than a C note in replacement ink cartage's isntead (who they really make the money off the ink jet machines).
With a laser jet, the toner just stays in the cartage until you go to print, and you can leave the machine in standby sitting and never use any toner isntead.
