 Here's a pic of the stick that is in it now. I thought it was 2x2GB, but it's obvoiusly 1x4gb. I purchased PC3 12800 2x4gb RAM, but the computer beeped at me and wouldn't start. I removed the two new sticks, installed the old, and it started fine. Sticks were new, so should I try to install one in the extra slot and see what happens? |

Did you purchase Ram that was certified for your laptop or was it generic ram that had the same density and speed?

I've used generic for all upgrade up until now.
