Thought this might be up someone's alley, anyone interested in 3D printing, but unwilling to make the plunge at $1000, or even $500-300...

And on the other end of the spectrum, I just saw a $2k+ 3d printer at Home Depot.

Curious on its actual print quality. Yes I am sure its no where neat the quality of the big machines I am used to right now. although for $180 it would be fun to have, make little parts and pieces for Arduino projects.
It will be interesting to see where 3D printers will be in another few years. |

The only downside I see to the machine is the bed itself.
Without a heated bed to get the first layer to stick, this forces you to use Blue tape on the bed for the first layer bond. Hence with the table access on the blocked side, this would force you to have to pull the covers each project to get a new layer of tape down each project instead. |

I glanced through it the first time and thought it came with one. Didn't realize it was an upgrade option. Wonder what that would cost?
