If I run a cmd.exe session, and set it to Below Normal, and then run commands (HandbrakeCLI) from inside the command prompt, will Handbrake inherit the priority (Below Normal), or will Windows default to Normal priority?

Thanks.

Seems to work for going below normal, couldn't get it to raise priority above normal.

1. Launch command prompt

2. Find cmd.exe in the Processes list

3. Right click and set cmd.exe to Low Priority

4. From command prompt, type notepad and hit enter

5. Right click on the Notepad process in Task Manager and you'll notice it is set to Low Priority

By default, the child process will inherit the same priority as the parent, at least for "normal" and lower priorities.

I thought handbrake had command or configuration parameters to address priority and, in multiple processor / core systems, CPU affinity.
