Got a complimentary install of McAffee Security Scan Plus.
Didn't offer it... it just went ahead and piggybacked on my Acrobat download. Off to uninstall!

The latest update I did of Adobe asked on the very first screen that began the download, you probably just missed it.

It's almost the standard business model for "free" software: offer for nothing, but under the covers install the adware/malware software of the month.

Yep, gotta watch Java updates and Adobe updates. They update every couple of weeks and every single time they try to get you to install junk
