Since you are trying to match another picture's colors, you might want to enlarge your canvas to double the height and copy in the other pic. It will create a new layer. Select the original pic by CRTL+LeftClick on the thumbnail, then drag it to the top. Now do the same thing to the other pic, but drag it down where you need it. Make a copy of the layer to be adjusted, and then click the mask button down below your tools (looks like a rectangle with a circle inside). That will create a white rectangle to the right of the thumbnail in your new layer, that is the mask. Now change your top color choice on the left hand toolbar to white. Select the Gradient tool (One of the choices if you click the arrow by the paint bucket) and then go to the top and select the gradient up in the top tool bar. The drop down will give you several choices, and the second one is usually your top color fading away to clear. Click on the mask you created to make sure it is selected, then go to your picture and, using your mouse, click the middle of the pic and draw a straight line down to the bottom. You will notice your mask has changed from all white to a graduated black to white. Now you can create a color level mask by CTRL+LeftClicking the original mask, then clicking the small half tone circle icon next to where you clicked to create the first mask. Clicking that circle will bring up a list of choices, one of them being Color Balance. Hope that wasn't too confusing! |

Don't claim to be a pro in the least so take these for what they are....a Hockey fan that likes photography. Taken with my Canon EOS 7D & Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM when I sat right on the glass during one game. So thankful that our hockey team & arena allow cameras in during the game.
Editted to Add : One of those players is an avid firearms enthusiast and might actually be a member of this site...he's a big fan of AR's too. |

I'm not sure about this being my best work. Maybe my best recent work. Driving cab doesn't lend itself to prolific photography.
This image literally jumped out at me while I was taking a fare home. Thankfully my fare was understanding.
