PHOTOGRAPHY!
What a great medium. Difficult to match the enjoyment of still images. Photography is dead. Long live photography! |

Got my very first DSLR camera last Friday (Canon T6i). I actually got it for video work with two YouTube channels but dang it if the photography part hasn't gotten a hold of me!
Took my son hiking in a state park the next day after getting the camera. Figured I would fool around with it in Manual to start getting the hang of adjusting the setting. This picture was one I took and it just melts my heart. I got Lightroom CC and Photoshop CC today and this picture has NOT been put through it yet, I almost don't even want to, as this picture as it sits, has sent me down the photography rabbit hole! And I just love it the way it is! Attached File |

I think my current favorites are these two. Something about the moment, time of day, sunbeams, and B&W just all came together.

Kind of a neat shot I think. There was a heavy band of smoke from a nearby brush fire that added lots of interest.
