What was your post production?
First, it's a LR-created pano from two frames.  Was bracketing, and this set was at +1 EV on exposure

Basic
-1.38 exposure
+38 contrast
-60 highlights
+38 Blacks
+43 clarity
+45 vibrance
+17 saturation

Tone curve:
+48 highlights (yeah, take 60 off in basic, add 48 back in tone :)
+11 darks

Sharpening:
+109 amount
Radius 1.4
Detail 24

Removed chromatic aberration

+12 dehaze

What kind of scale are we talking here? Can't really tell if this was taken just standing on a beach or up in a aircraft/on a cliff.

Right?

The lens was maybe 2.5 - 3 feet from the sand. That's a small (~1.25-inch) white seashell in the lower left.

Here's my wife's "Behind the Shot" capture of me (in the red) taking that photo. And, yes, I'm printing like a mo-fo in this pose with the wind blowing from the right. Bonus Interwebs prize if you can ID the item causing the print using this relatively low resolution photo.

Nice.

Here's one of my recent "stormy" pics from Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge. We got soaked pretty good about 10mins after this capture, but the sky was fantastic.
