Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Superzoom point and shoot for my wife

My wife is in need of a new camera
She is shooting a Cannon SX30is currently and it has seen its better days
Originally I had planned on getting her the new SX60, but I have been unimpressed with the reviews

Camera is for taking family/vacation/school pictures
She does not want  to do any post processing
She likes the reach of a super zoom and considers that important

Anyone have first hand experience with the SX60?
Other cameras you would recommend?

While not as new as the sx60, you may want to consider the panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ200

At $299, it is a steal.
