We're going to go to Germany next year for our vacation. I was wondering if Leica cameras (M series) are cheaper in Germany than what we see here in the states. Anyone know?

Sales tax in Germany is 19%.  It is baked into the price of the item.  So, no, you would not likely get a deal.  Once upon a time I had a few extra pennies and bought a M7 new.  I happened to be living in the UK.  The LAST place I would have bought it would be in the UK, and their VAT was a lot less than 19% at the time.

I ended up buying it from eBay, from a seller in Hong Kong, IIRC.
