Guidance?

Have removed battery, and SD card, let sit out, replaced, nothing.

Held extra pressure on battery door, nothing.

Ideas?

It's less then a year old. Takes a li-ion pack like a cell phone.

Going on the assumption that since it's only ever been charged twice, it should be gtg.

I'd contact Nikon and see what they'll do for you. I've had good luck with them.

It doesn't do anything when on charger. No blinky lights.

Manual says that it will not turn on if on charger.

What kind of on/off switch does it have? I have a couple Coolpixes and one of them has a sticky switch.

I had a stuck pixel on the other one and Nikon sent me an RMA - it went back to them and they fixed it. good CS.

Ok. It's fixed.

This particular camera had a hardware issue, that does not stop the charging once it is actually fully charged, so it just keeps charging.

It fried the battery. New one in and it works.
