Ran my first instance earlier...pretty easy, probably the fist time I've ever run one on Day 1. Now looks like I can keep trying to log on, or go to bed early. |

Im liking the garrisons. really liking basically everything so far. the instances are easy so far but that's no different from MoP. and the fact that we are so over geared from MoP. no deaths yet in draenor.......except I went afk standing what I thought was benign red shit on the ground......it was lava

Anyone notice a correlation between /played and quality of followers? I noticed my 1st toon from vanilla got nothing but epic and rare followers...wasn't sure if that was dumb luck or part of the mechanics.

And can you believe they have the balls to call this scheduled maintenance? Yeah, because everyone schedules a maintenance outage the day after their biggest release in years.
Big outage out at work, so decided to kill some time here at the house...nope.  Guess I'll go back and surf on my phone or something.

Got DC'd once at about 20 minutes after launch when I zoned into Shadowmoon Valley and there were 600 people zoning in at the same time, logged back in no issues. |

Tried to log in about 2.5 hours ago, at the time I was 6267 in queue with an estimated time of 112 minutes. Right now I'm 3591 with 490 minutes. Hell, the AQ gate opening was was way better than this. The boat from Menethil was dropping us off at the Moonbrook graveyard in Westfall, but at least we were actually in game doing something. I was really hoping they'd have all this stuff dealt with by now.

I'm at 100, and you can always do the quest for garrisons. It really doesn't matter anyways. Level 3 garrison, all my plots are out, and I'm working in stage 2 for my engineering, blacksmith, and whatever the name for that extra scrap crap is called that's also a small building. Will start working on the large and medium plots later. Right now it's about raid gear.

I've always taken a main through about half the content, then started bouncing around toons to capitalize on rested XP. End up with a bunch of max-level toons who can craft anything standard and nothing exceptional.
This time, I'm working on all of them. Except the monk, which is still at like 61. 9 garrisons up and collecting supplies...last toon will get run through tonight, then focusing on opening everyone's mines. I really need to get some garrisons to the herb garden point, but at least the mines will be feeding a blacksmith and 2 engineers...and depending on how well that goes volume-wise, I'll drop all mining and make lots of engineers. Noticed in the Trading Post last night that you can buy the mats required for the work order for 30 garrison supplies from the vendor...then the work order gives you 30 garrison supplies. I know there's probably an achievement for # of work orders, so an initial investment there could let you artificially inflate that number very easily. This expansion...pretty damned good, imo. Major revision of the gear paradigm...at first all the grapes made me sad, then I realized it's no longer raid-tier (lol, Ray D. Tear), it's just another quality level. Not like it matters...there's always good-ol' iLvl to identify scrubs like me! Seriously, though, they should have gone all the way and masked iLvl too, and removed iLvl caps. Because all you new fuckers seriously need to experience the joys of going into instances with under-geared un-prepared noobs. It's part of what made vanilla so exciting...and hard.
Sheesh....I could keep comments going for hours I think...really a lot to say about it. Which is exactly what was needed. Supposedly the last expansion, one of the reasons I'm taking it slow. I have a feeling though that this might do well enough to convince them otherwise. Look at all the MMORP sequels out there that are doing well....oh, wait a sec...yeah, I think WoW II is going to be held off entirely, and that we'll have another expansion in the future. |

I'm on the cusp of 99 and have swapped in 1 new trinket (the old cooldown reduction one got worse and worse as you leveled).
Enjoying myself exploring and finishing zones. Don't really like Spires of Arak that much. Also, the follower/mission panel should be redesigned. Anyone know any good mods for it? |
