I've been playing Ultra IV on the PS4 and Marvel Vs Capcom 3 Ultimate recently when they were a few dollars in the Capcom sale.
IV is one of the best fighting games I've ever played, was when it hit the PS3/360 and still is. Recently picked up the mini HORI fighting stick and fight pad and it's made the games more enjoyable, now my question is of course about V. Either I hear/see "Don't listen to the haters, it's great" or "it killed my dog and burned down my house." What's your verdict from playing it? The game is getting pretty cheap now.

4 didn't feel like street fighter to me. Pacing was way off, timing on moves was funky, and overall felt like a chore for me to play. It completely turned me off of the franchise after years of playing them, even in local tournaments.

I have not played SF5 yet because its only available on PS4/PC. I would not buy it on PC unless it was complete with all DLC for less then $20. I liked SF4 well enough, but SF3 Third Strike is the pinnacle of the series.
Not liking Marvel vs Capcom 3. They keep dumbing down the controls for those with each new iteration. Will not bother with the new one coming out at all. |
