Anyone remember Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War?

Puddle of Mudd's Blurry fit perfectly with that game!

(watch until the end, you'll hear the song)

The game's story itself was pure nightmare fuel, powered by massive amounts of hard drugs, but it and the music have a soft spot in my heart.

I still have this game somewhere...There wasn't really anything like it at the time.

OSTs?

Anything Squaresoft from 1992-2001, to include orchestrated and piano releases.
Armored Core 3 + Silent Line
Ace Combat 4 was probably the best in the series, along with the best soundtrack in the series
A Link to the Past
Earthbound

On a side note, referencing FFVIII, I wonder if it was strictly coincidence that The SeeD Landing at Dollet sounded remarkably like  The Rock (1996) rocket scene

The first fable soundtrack was probably my favorite.  I even bought it.

One of my favorite FF themes: The decisive Battle

The Eternal Sonata soundtrack is worth a listen as well. Link

Agreed.  That's the kind of music you destroy demons to.  Totally sick-house.

I liked the whole soundtrack from Wolf. I particularly liked their Smiths soundalike in the strip club:
