I might grind out some IB tonight/tomorrow and see if I can come up with enough to buy another engram or two. I didn't realize how low I'd gotten (haven't played a tremendous amount lately) and only had enough for 1 engram this morning. I got a Red Death - never used it before and might play around with it some.

So, anyone up to help me finish an elder sigil tonight? I'm not sure what time I'll be on but I'd guess around 8.
I'll help if I'm on. Just shoot me an invite if you see me online (TheJeanyus83).
I'm hoping to be on, but considering how sick I've been, no promises.

It was really solid in the crucible in year one, the only real sorta effective counter to Thorn. But that archetype of pulse rifle is generally outclassed by the low impact/mid to high ROF pulses. Still, a solid weapon overall. |

I appreciate the offers to help guys. I'm online now, any idea when you guys will be on?

Anyone pick up the Cocytus package today that is basically a high impact Hung Jury? Kicking myself for not buying it last week.
What is the best strike for the 7 orb fist of havoc/nova bomb quests? I think I've only gotten a 7 orb FoH once. Almost always go defender or hammerbro for strikes. |

Just leave the mission area as a group and go kill the yellow bar hive under the starting area, and anyone else you come across in groups. I need to do that too sometime |

If we can get enough people together, I'd like to run some raids tomorrow night and this weekend.
Primary focus is gonna be challenge modes, for people who need year two Moment of Triumph calcified fragments. This week's challenge mode is the Oryx fight - that's detonating all 16 bombs at once and killing him in one damage cycle. Thalnok is the tier 3 Court of Oryx encounter for the week, for whoever needs that. |

I've got a friend that has only ran NM raid once, so he's searching for some of the final fragments still through challenge modes. His LL is 311, but we've been trying to complete CoE to get some drops for getting his LL higher. |
I don't really care about that much about the MoT, but I'd be down to raid. CoO would be good too - I could use artifact upgrades on all 3 characters.
I'll be able to raid tomorrow night. Need the challenge completion .
Cool. I'll probably be on tonight for a little bit, I picked up a couple gunsmith weapons I want to try out.
I'll be ready to raid sometime around 7-8ish eastern tomorrow. |
Going to be on doing gunsmith tests later. I swear it takes me nearly all week to get them done now that I have 3 characters.

In the reef.
MK44s, Bones, Ram, 4th Horseman, legacy chest. My awesome Arrcom clan mates are like "God, you hate Xur this week" cause I didn't give my opinions on this stuff. It's all PVP-centric stuff, IMO. No good reason to use the MK44 Stand Asides unless you want to be that guy running around shoulder charging everything. Granted, shoulder charge is pretty stupid in the crucible, the hit detection is ridiculous at times, and you can get some really funny kills with it from time to time. But I think Armamentarium with double grenades is the more better option for most PVP encounters, and shit, basically anything for PVE, I like Ruin Wings. Bones, if you have a hard time making some of the jumps in the raid, pick these up. Since blink got nerfed, I started using these with better control jumps on my bladedancer in PVP. It helps get a lot of the movement back bladedancers lost in the past couple patches. The Ram is still pretty good. Not as good as it was in year one, but still very good. I used it on a max armor/max recovery sunsinger in Iron Banner last week, and at full health and 320+ light, you can survive flux grenade and magnetic grenade sticks, winging shots from golden gun even after the gunslinger patch if they don't have deadeye on (and most people don't in crucible), sometimes you can survive one swipe from arc blade if they don't hit you square on and/or they don't have encore on (and most people don't in crucible), you can survive shoulder charges provided you don't get hit in the air with Peregrine Greaves. Fusion grenade sticks will still kill you deader than shit regardless of armor. In PVE, if you're playing voidwalker, having an energy drain available at all times will save you and help keep you alive in hairy situations. 4th Horseman, I would have really loved to been able to use it in House of Wolves, after the shotgun damage patch. Back when Found Verdict was king and killed everything. Now, I dunno. Might be fun if heroic strike modifiers fell on like specialist/arc burn. Probably good to troll people in the crucible with, although it's terrible on ammo. Basically pointless in the raid. It looks cool and sounds cool though, like Invective on crack. |

View Quote Siege of the Warmind quest gets 4 out of 5 done in about 10 minutes this week. Jump over the ledge and kill yourself after you kill all the thrall on the stairs, don't enter the main room. Also, thanks to spyke and hammer for helping me out on my hand cannon kills. I suck so bad with a hc in the crucible, even after trying out different game modes. |

Lately I've only been able to play an hour or two at a time 3 or so days a week. All I managed to get done yesterday was the gunsmith quest for the warlock fusion rifle. Granted, I probably didn't do it the most efficient way possible. I just did patrol missions running around with a Queenbreaker's Bow the whole time. Figured I might as well get some Vanguard and New Monarchy rep while I was at it. |

I believe it still does, but I don't have one. The Queenbreaker worked OK since you get so much ammo for it.

Oryx don't need that one, if anyone wants to do a vault of glass I woild be down for that.

It'll be a cake walk to farm the scout rifle kills once I hit rank 2, and I kept a bunch of blue scout rifles as I was leveling the warlock to get the weapon parts. I'd have it all done tonight if there was a way to grind gunsmith rep. Sucks that the only way to rank up is by doing the weapon testing every week. |

I'll be on around 8. Watching some shows with my daughter right now.
Will be up for a raid, or whatever depending on how many we have. Im bringing my titan out of retirement |
i will be on anytime, just shoot me a message even if it shows me offline
You guys have 6 for the raid already? I wouldn't mind taking a shot at some higher light gear.
That was a good, mostly clean run. Had some weird issues at the totems with auras not transferring over, but whatever. #Destiny.
Anyways, I'd be down to run another one tomorrow evening. |
Dude... The Mountaintop questline SUCKS! It's all I had left for year 2 moments of triumph... Somehow I had only barely started it after all this time. Not much of a crucible guy except iron banana. Not sure I have the time/patience to get through this one.
Raid run was pretty smooth. The totem thing was wierd but it's destiny, so I'm not suprised something was wonky. I'm happy I finally got some high level artifacts plus the fragment. Still need the one from the Court and I'll have all 50
The mountain top...It's really not that bad, just tedious. If you can get with a few of us you should be able to knock it out in a few hours. The hardest part for me was actually the kills while playing rift. Then the trials portion but again, you only have to play it to get the points needed. Everything else will come just by playing. You still have a good amount of time to do it. |
Hate that I missed the raid, but I was apparently gone to the gym. Didn't get to go at lunch like I usually do.
I got a ARI-41 auto rifle with perfect balance and small bore from a gunsmith package. I used it in a few patrols and a strike, and I have to say...this thing ain't bad. I haven't used auto rifles for a while, especially in pve, but since this one is my highest light weapon I thought I'd try it before infusing it into something else. |
I plan on trying to raid again this evening. Same Bat-time, around 7-8ish eastern.
I'm always down to do some PVP as well if folks need the Mountaintop quest line done. |

View Quote The reason most folks are like "wtf I haven't completed this quest!?" is that no one really plays anything outside of clash or control. I play a lot of PVP and I don't think I completed it until like three or four months ago, mostly because I had nothing else to do. Anyways, it's not that bad a quest. It has a lot of steps but none of them are really terrible. |
I should be on to raid again.
I'll run my hunter or whorelock, whichever ya'll prefer. Just don't count on me being able to run relic though at oryx. 1. I've never run relic for oryx 2. I'll definitely suck at it |
I can probably still run relic if you guys need someone. Jumping is just like riding a bike right?
I'll be bringing a titan or a hunter, so I can run relic if need be.

On a side note, here's a pretty cool link to see how often you're using what weapons in the crucible.
http://destiny-data.herokuapp.com/#/?_k=tl76uy I actually use my primary weapon. |
