The only thing you'll need to be okay with is being torn at the daughters fight since it's random. I'd be up for a HM run but chances are I won't be able to get on. |

I didn't feel like anything was that complicated, but I've only done one run and didn't do Oryx. I'm just really bad at jumping. If I was the one who got torn at daughters, it resulted in a wipe.

I think I finally had a couple good main weapons drop. Looking for some thoughts on what is worth upgrading/infusing or if I should hold out for a better item/roll.
PvP Haakon's Hatchet at 307 attack. Grave Robber || Fitted Stock / Hand-Laid Stock / Armor Piercing Rounds || Exhumed I've had really good luck with this in PvP, but haven't spent the matterials to upgrade it. Grave Robber and Exumed just seem like meh rolls to me. I'm thinking this is worth infusing, but open to suggestions. PvE Not Like the Others at 313 attack (scout). MD-Reflex / Red Dot-ORA / OEG Riflescope || Icarus || Explosive Rounds / Oiled Frame / Malleus Maleficarum || Guerilla Fighter Treads Upon Stars at 313 attack (scout). Focus Lens FLS2 / Ranged Lens RLR5 / Quickdraw IS || Hot Swap || Field Scout / Feather Mag / Demotion || Hidden Hand I think the Not Like the Others is the better option due to the explosive rounds even though the Icarus and Guerilla fighter seem pretty bad. Treads Upon Stars seems to be a slightly better weapon, but Hidden Hand seems like the only real perk. Anyway, looking for input here too. I don't have enough weapons to infuse everything and I'm going to need to farm for materials for whatever I decide on, so just trying to be efficient at this point. |

Finally did a Challenge of the Elders. Got the hand cannon at 326 with a meh roll, a pair of 325 gloves with an identical roll to the 325s I've been wearing, a 323 Queensbreaker Bow, and a 326 ghost shell. Brought me up from 320 to 321, but I'M STILL WEARING THIS STUPID 304 HELMET. Every other slot is 320+, and I can't get a helmet upgrade to save my life.

i only played it once for the new taken sword which is only a legendary at 320. There is those sterling treasure chest too which gives you new armor at light level 3. Infusion is 1:1 now as well. |

Garrison - again, depends. If you like skating and dashing around, give it a try. If not, who cares. I don't use this personally. Symbiote - probably should buy this if you're a gunslinger. Stag - no. Super Good Advice - you know, I honestly don't know. I haven't used it one bit in year two. Mostly because Quillim's Terminus from the raid does mostly everything SGA can do. I know in year one about all it was good for was shooting oracles in VOG. But I've read it's been buffed, so I dunno. Maybe give it a try if you got the coins and want one for the collection. Legacy helm. |

So I was reading about the Stolen Will shotgun that comes from the Taken version of the Winter's Run strike. It's a high ROF shotgun, kinda like a Dry Rot 32 or Found Verdict, which I like those style shotguns for PVE. So I figured I'd do a nightfall for grins, and to see if I could get a good roll on that shotgun, maybe something like full auto and whatever.
I did get the shotgun, with a terrible roll, it has grenadier and last resort. And 19 strange coins. For a solo nightfall. A particularly annoying nightfall at that, the last wave or two of ads at the boss are annoying as shit. Thanks Bungie and RNGeesus. |

It's funny that they haven't patched Winter's Run where you can't jump back up from where you came. I just stayed up there and took potshots at ads and the boss.

I did the quests for Stillpiercer and Ace of Spades over the last few days. Man did Titans get the shaft when it comes to gunsmith weapons. AoS would be an amazing legendary but isn't worth the exotic slot over Hawkmoon IMO... But it's way better than Fabian Strategy. Stillpiercer is awesome...and Titans get the stupid Immobus.
I also got a 325 Apple of Discord with a good roll (max stability and Glass Half Full). I don't know what the deal is, but from rep packages I get nothing but pulse rifles with good rolls and hand cannons with terrible rolls. Still can't get a helmet over 304 to save my life. Still using a 200 light artifact on my hunter. |

Ace of Spades is a lot of fun to use if nothing else. I used it whenever just screwing around doing bounties, and I've used it a little in the raid. Only drawback is the main bonus can really suck your ammo reserve dry, especially in a target rich environment like the raid.
And Steelpiercer is one of my favorite sniper rifles in the game. Good aim assist, and I like the center of the scope reticle better than something like a Longview or Shortgaze. I have an easier time making precision shots with the reticle on Steelpiercer, especially in PVP. Fabian Strategy sucks, even after they patched it and "fixed" the main bonus. It's no more special than any other bullet hose rifle in the game. The Immobius shotgun is pretty good though. Warlocks arguably got the best overall class specific exotic primary. Especially since a lot of 'locks sit on their supers, Tlaloc basically turns into a Vision of Confluence on crack. |

Glasshouse - no. Khepri's Sting - no. Sunbreakers - no. Universal Remote - pretty good in PVP if you can make it work for you. I died a lot to this stupid thing in the last Iron Banner. Feels like they buffed the range quite a bit. A trolly weapon to use if nothing else. Basically useless in PVE. Don't buy it unless you feel like fucking with people in the crucible. Legacy chest. |

I got a Super Good Advice from an engram. I think it's pretty average - hard to control the recoil for sustained damage on bosses compared to my IB machine gun or Thunderlord. The ammo refund perk is nice though - especially using it to clear trash in closer quarters. In PvP the recoil makes it a little tougher to use at range, but it's still a machine gun. You aren't going to get out-gunned by a primary weapon or anything.
Iron Banner is back today. Control this time. Hoping to get a decent fusion rifle since I started messing around with them some in PvP recently (specifically The Vacancy). |

The only time I ever really used or tried Super Good Advice was during Atheon, for shooting oracles during teleports. And even then, it took a backseat once I got Corrective Measure with its field scout/100 rounds per mag of oracle melting goodness.

In the reef this week.
Arachnid - better than it was I guess. The longer timer for your golden gun is cool, gives you some more time to run around and look for someone to blast in PVP. In PVE, Nighthawk is arguably better. No Backup Plans - a trolly thing to use in PVP, and decent if you're speed running strikes in PVE. Pair this up with all the perks and talents to enhance force barrier and just run past everything. Starfire Protocol - nope. Use gift of the sun if you want two fusion grenades. Bad juju - pretty good. Pick it up if you don't have it. Legacy chest I think. |

I played 20-25 games of IB today, and only won 5 of them. Idiots not capping flags, everybody and their brother sniping, hunters just jumping around like rabbits all over the map......god I hate the crucible. I wish they would just have team deathmatch for every iron banner.....thats what everyone wants to do anyway it seems like.

The control game type is a very poor choice for Iron Banner, IMO.
Mostly because of how the game mode works, and how spawns work in Destiny. If you've got a team of killers with you, you really don't even need to actively go after flags, just out-slay the other team. Worst still, with the map balance and how spawns work, you can just cap two flags and slaughter the other team as they run out of the third flag. Shores of Time and Blind Watch are the worst in the world about this, it's like shooting fish in a barrel. If you're going up against three or four guys mic'ed up and communicating, it's almost impossible to win Shores of Time or Blind Watch control if they have C and B. All of the other maps are similar, but none are worse than those two IMO. Iron Banner should either be zone control, where you've got to work together as a team and play the objective to win, or clash where you just have to kill the other team. The control game type is not the game type to play for a competitive try hard setting like Iron Banner. |

I've had alot of good games. More so than bad but when they were bad it was really bad. Not a ton of red bars or lag, here and there. Sometimes I just got my shit pushed in by better players/teams ni matter what I did or how good I was playing.
Couple times I was killed when I swore there was no way but it wasn't a crazy amount. It's online pvp so I expect it . Drops have been bad for me. Only 1 335 fusion. Everything else was 334. Not counting the packages I ended up with 4 chest 2 fusion 1 glove 1 sidearm I would say I played over 45 games between 2 toons Last IB I think I had that many drops in 1/4 of the games. RNG gonna RNG I might play a little more later tonight after the hockey game, maybe get some more stuff for my titan |

My experience in this Iron Banana has been horrible for the most part. I haven't really played any decent amount of Destiny PVP in at least a month, so I'm pretty bad now. I wasn't great before, but I could at least generally hold my own, but now I'm terribad.
And all the annoying shit in PVP for some reason infuriates me even more now. Dunno why. |

IB pretty much sucked. I didn't put any time time into it and unlike last time I wasn't signing in daily and at least collecting bounties to complete it looks like to took 20 games to complete and I rushed to complete Lvl5 on just my Titan playing 10 games in 3 hours finishing with ~2hrs left in the event.
Got some stuff that was slightly higher level than what I already have, but nothing earth shattering. 2x Ashravnens Flight 317 & 318 Fushion Rifle 320 Artifact (same as last IB) Iron Wreath-D 319 Sidearm Tormonds Bellows 323 (last IB was 312) Rocket Launcher 322 Chest Piece 320 Ghost that I already have from the last IB |

I think the only annoying thing in pvp for me now is everyone running universal remote. |

ACD Feedback - meh. I wouldn't use these over Ruin Wings for PVE or Armamentarium for PVP. Gravititon - if you're good with shadestep, sure. If not or you don't really use it, kind of a waste. I don't use this personally, I like Sealed Ahamkara Grasps better. Alchemist's Rainment - nope. Plan C - pretty good for a fusion rifle. Worth trying if you've got the coins to spare and don't have one. Legacy chest engram. |
