I don't think 1K Yard Stare or Longbow has the impact to one shot them, but to be fair I stay the hell out of that raid so I don't know for certain. Last time I attempted it I was on a platform, and I thought Ex Machina left them with a sliver of health. 

I think the most forgiving/easy position is in the middle on ogre duty.  It's one of the more important roles in the team, but the least dangerous IMO. 

The platforms are definitely the most dangerous spot in the fight. Everything in the arena can kill you very fast. Ads, ogres, drive by shooting from the tomb ship, running back and forth to detonate bombs, gotta worry about knights, the platforms are tough. 

Relic runner usually isn't too bad unless you always start from the right side, because after grabbing the spark you have to run up from the back of the room to up front to get the vessel. After that, you're golden. 

The middle guys normally just stay in a titan bubble and kill stuff for the duration of the encounter, except for the last detonation when one of those guys needs to go get a bomb. And really at that point, it's not the end of the world if someone dies and all damage registered on Oryx like it should. 

Yeah, but the job of the ogre team in the middle is easier if everyone else is helping.  If you have a Nightstalker lay down quiver/predator shadowshots on three of the ogres, the platform team takes potshots at them as well, guys in the middle are buffed with Weapons and using high impact snipers and/or heavy, those ogres aren't too scary anymore if everyone is chipping in.

No knight strategy is horrible.  Absolute worst way I have *ever* cleared Oryx, hands down.  Complete and total holy hell on your relic runner.  I've died several times just making the jump up to the first platform running the route, because those fucking ogres were running wild.  Their aggro pattern seems totally random, sometimes they shoot at the guys on the deathsinger platform, sometimes they shoot at the dudes on the lower plates, most times they annihilate the relic runner.  It's just a really bad and dicey method.

The knights are seriously not a problem to deal with.  I get a nervous tick in my eye just thinking about Oryx/no knight strat. 

This is it, boys. Final Xur before D2. What a ride.  Mostly good times, some frustrating times, but we're here. Almost makes me a little misty in preparation for the new game. Anyways.
