I think raiding is a big part of what makes Destiny fun, and understanding the mechanics in the raids makes it that much better, IMO. We're gonna do it all from start to finish, opening the door, confluxes, oracles, Templar (be ready for it, I want everyone to try using the relic during all sections its available in the Vault). And you'll also get the opportunity to get whatever's available in the normal VOG loot table (basically, everything except Fatebringer, Mythoclast, Timepiece, and the helms) as well as hitting the exotic chest in the Gorgon maze. More importantly, if/when Bungie decides to increase the difficulty in both raids for future content, hopefully you'll be ready for it, understanding all the different phases of the raid. I'd like to do this with Crota's End too, but let's get the Vault down and we'll take it from there. I know we busted like two or three of 'em out over the weekend and tonight with Mariner82, so if you're game I want you to run it with me Friday. And of course whoever else wants in. Before they ruined the perks on the new spear it was one of the best snipers in the game for both PvP and PvE

I don't care for aim assist, I tend to do better without it and Praedyths still is a headshot monster, Plus Firefly just makes it even better. I use the Spear mainly for Final Round and Double down and I tend to use most of the time in ToO. |

I would buy Suros if you don't have it, especially since auto rifles are supposed to be better when 2.0 comes around.
Knucklehead Radar is alright if you play lots of PVP and you're a radar whore. I have it but don't really use it, I think Symbiote and Third Man are better hunter helms overall. Eta - now that I think about it, being that you can reforge weapons for third eye and if you play trials you've probably got a trials weapon that has third eye on it, Knucklehead Radar ain't as good as it used to be. No Backup Plans might be interesting with the brawler modifier on, but otherwise, meh. Claws of Ahamkara on a sunsinger with flame shield and a shotgun is a very annoying thing to deal with in PVP. |

There were 4 of us playing last night in banana and we had matches where we got rolled so badly it wasn't even tolerable. To make matters worse the team we played wasn't that good, but between the lag, enemies not taking damage, blinking with shotguns and supers we stood no chance. I almost rage quit twice and that is rare. Destiny isn't going to make it into year 3 if they don't address the lag in PvP it is an absolute game changer and that coupled with shit matchmaking, no skill based matchmaking, it turns 80% of the games into feast or famine. Trials is the same way, it should be hard and challenging but when you just start playing and match up against people with 1500+ kills, 1.9 KDR's and multiple flawless runs its a bitch especially if you have never done it before. It should be more skill based and elevate difficulty as you win, but instead they expect new players to be doormats for a bunch of PvP tryhards. I have seen supers as fast as round 2 (with a ton of revives and one player doing all the work) but never round 1, dirty tactics suck but they really aren't dirty if the goal is to go flawless which is Quintin's point and Bungie has allowed them to fester and grow to the point that everyone is using them thus eliminating any game balance. I am done bitching now I will be running some Iron Banana tonight if anyone wants to join, we should have at least 2 maybe 3 slots open, last night we all missed the days of having a full fire-team. |

Trials matchmaking should absolutely be skill based. Placing a team of 1 K/D or below players against 1.5+ K/D players who have completed flawless trials is ignorant.
Trials should be hard. Some of the best weapons and equipment in the game is available through Trials, so it should be a fair and hard challenge to complete it. But playing so-so PVP players against teams of killers who communicate and work well together, that's not a hard challenge, it's shooting fish in a barrel, the average player can do nothing against a team like that. That's the number one fucked up thing about Trials, IMO. Thorn, TLW, blink shotgun, whatever is all irrelevant in the grand scheme of things when you're paired against a team that you've got no chance of beating straight up. |
