It's week.
Good thing I have a bunch of partially done bounties from last time around. |

|
I ran into a couple guys last night who were disgustingly good with No Land. Saw a ton of people running around with No Land/sidearm in general. Lag was also really bad for me at times...people teleporting around, getting killed through walls, shots/melees not registering, etc.
The high cal/PB/CB Waltz seems to work OK, but did the damage get nerfed on the highest RoF pulses? It just didn't feel like it was able to consistently 3-burst. I infused my Wormwood up to 400, and that thing is downright nasty. It's like they decided to give The Last Word 4 more rounds in the mag, better stability, a faster reload, and more range. Swapped to the Titan this time around (at least to start things off), and boy oh boy do I suck at moving around with a Titan now. Hammers also feel really inconsistent. Most of the time I only got 1-2 kills with my super, then out of nowhere I get a Breaker. |
|
Yes the high RoF pulses got hit yard with the nerf. Best pulses will still be the hawksaw type and the hopscotch Pilgrim type has gotten better again. Nlb has been a huge thing since just before the weapon balance so anyone using them consistently has gotten good with them. I've honestly given up on PvP for the most part. I'll hop in once and a while but it just hasn't been fun for me anymore. If you need 400 gear it's a good place to get it but if not it's a good place to only get an anurism.
|
|
I'm only in there for infusion fuel. I don't care to have an Unbent Tree, another Proud Spire, or any of the armor pieces. Trying to get all of my "go to" weapons and exotic armor pieces infused to 400 as well as a full set of legendary gear at 400 for all 3 characters.

We had a good, fun run up to Oryx last night knocking off some KF rust.
Totems was no wipes and no deaths. Gjallarhorn WRECKS in the middle with Nightstalkers. Orbs for days. We 2 phased Warpriest and I think 3 rotations on Golgoroth to complete both challenge modes. A few wipes on either before finding our groove. Nothing really too difficult though. Daughters we had some sloppy jumping but ToM is still king. We gave Oryx a few goes to get re-acquainted with the process and I'm not too worried about getting the clear. I forget how much longer this raid is vs. CE or WotM. It's fun but I can't say I'll venture in again after this clear. I enjoy the raid up to Oryx for the most part but the length is for real. Looking forward to WotM next week to complete all the challenge modes. |

Glad you got it done. I was just way to tired last night was in bed at 9. I honestly don't care to step in it. The weapons don't impress me and the only thing I would want is the adept scout for it's void damage. I would much rather run VoG and crota for the armor. View Quote I'd like to get a legendary Smite with Firefly but beyond that I don't care too much other than getting the clear for the book. Armor drops seem to be terrible for the revamped raids. I think I've had just a handful of pieces drop in probably 6-7 total raids. Then most of the stats are garbage. I guess the armor is the "carrot" to hold us over until D2. |

Speaking of dusting off the rust, warlock has been feeing pretty crispy in King's Fall. Just from a slayer standpoint, you can kill a lot of stuff very quickly with storm or nova bomb, especially working with nightstalker hunters.
The jump is still total garbage, but man, the killing potential is amazing. |

I really want to get in on a KF raid since I already know the mechanics for the most part. Friday or Saturday night maybe?

Total slayer right here folks. Quintin put up 600 kills during the raid. I don't think anybody else topped 300 or so. View Quote Those kills wouldn't have happened without teammates constantly generating orbs. At totems, I started off the fight with a nova bomb, and I always had one immediately available during *any* moment in that encounter due to the hunters and titan generating orbs with liberal super use. It goes without saying, at high level end game PVE stuff, do not be shy about burning a super on someone or something, that's what they're there for. Generate orbs to help out the rest of the team and keep everyone at their most powerful, and to kill things quickly and decisively to help keep you and your team alive. |

They're still alright, but they're not the pre-nerf facemelters they were. eta - yeah, sidearms. Good grief. Mini Last Words, that's exactly what they are now. I have a Teacup Tempest with crowd control and reactive reload that does like 88 with a headshot when both are active. It's dumb. And I can really only get around in the crucible as a striker titan. I tried hammers, I sucked with them, same with bubble, I think sunbreaker and defender both don't really have the talents and passives to support aggressive play like a striker does. Sunbreaker especially, since their thing basically revolves around the super with really shit passives that don't contribute really to the abilities you'll use for the ~60-80% of a match that you don't have a super. |

Incendiary grenades aren't bad, but they're no lighting grenade for sure. The burn ability on the punch is great for getting post mortem medals.
I am pretty sure people were getting flinched pretty bad by high cal rounds on The Waltz...because they'd just bug out after I hit them with a burst or two. I don't think I've ever had so many people get away with a fraction of health. Pretty sure they'd peak a corner, get flinched, and just bail out. I know I had to be pissing people off with The Wormwood. Someone would roll up on me when I have half health, and I'd still burn them down. Without the imminent threat of a shotgun to the face, sidearms have really become effective. If you are low on health, have an empty mag in your primary, etc., switching to a sidearm allows you to regain a bit of the advantage and come out on top when you absolutely would have died with a primary. |

Ok. Tonight we raid for awils
7:30-8pm est Me Awils Hammer Quintin ? ? Would like to have Quintin outrider with us as well. First come first serve |

If it's that early I'm down to clown. View Quote I'll probably be out tonight but should be on this weekend. Next weekend the wife is out of town so I'd like to raid my balls off for VoG, Crota, and Wrath. I must have suffered serious amnesia despite everyone warning me but holy shit the Oryx fight is a bitch. We cleared it last night after a plethora of tries including miss timing detonating bombs. However, the Arfcom crew rallied and took that bastard down. I've never seen Quintin go to orbit so fast. Loot was garbage to top it off. To celebrate we crushed a complete NM Wrath raid faster than we took down Oryx. I don't think I ever want to see that dude again. |

I mean, I'll go, but I'm gonna be kicking, screaming and bitching the whole way.
My experience with 390 light King's Fall hasn't been a great one so far. |

It's my birthday (31) so I'm in. Saying fuck it. Other than changing my spark plugs I'm doing fuckall today.

I honestly don't really care to do Kings Fall myself but majority rules. I've never done wrath of the machine yet either.
Crota and VoG I'm all go for. |
|
I've gotten my list set, expect invites to go out if your raiding. And wils, im all in for doing a couple raids that are shorter than 1 long ass raid to be honest.

I completed Kings Fall with my clan mates on PS4. Forgot how quick the raid can be, when people know what to do, and are equipped for the raid. Challenge wise, Warpriest was giving us a few issues here and there, like one guy got disconnected, but got it on our third try. Golgoroth, we did in one try. Deathsingers for some reason was giving us the most problems, but mainly because of stupid things, but on the fourth attempt we got it. For Oryx, we wiped once, right near the beginning, but then the second try went great. For me, it's probably been 6 months or so since I last ran that raid, so had to knock some rust off, when it came to the challenges.
Managed to get three exotics from that raid. Just missing the Auto Rifle, but I'm in no hurry to run the raid again. Most of my clan, felt the same way too. But the down side is, I still need to do it on Xbox But in the meantime, dealing with randoms in Iron Banana, can be annoying at times. I like how I can play like a god in one game, and then a total scrub in the next, lol. |

In the reef.
Legacy special, Feedback Fence, Bones, Praxic Fire, Hard Light. |
|
I have never raided. I would like to give it a try if anyone is on tonight

I played a little banana. Just didn't have the time and will power to play game after game of PvP.
Burned up my bounties that were partially done from a Prior IB and still only got into lvl 3 and completed a weekly crucible bounty that's been around for months Was 396 now 398 -- need a heavy higher than 394 Looking abck the loot was good 2x 398 primarys 3x 400 sidearm 1 exotic 1x399 sidearm 399 ghost 399 helmet 398 gauntlet 399 chest 399 class armor 400 artifact |
|
Looks like you made out better with loot than I did, but mine was good enough that I was able to infuse stuff and get all 3 characters to 400. I played to rank 3 on 1 character as well...just didn't have much time to play over the last week.
Nightfall this week is Shield Bros with void burn, brawler, grounded, and ironclad. Shouldn't be too bad if I can remember not to jump during the boss fight. Heroics are specialist, juggler, airborne. |

Challenge mode Aksis - done!
It sounds silly, but the completionist try hard in me feels like a huge weight off my shoulders finally completing that tonight. |
|
|
I'll be in this weekend to run all the raids (minus KF).
I'll tell you this, Vosik Challenge and Aksis Challenge require your absolute best. Vosik is a struggle to stay alive and Aksis challenge is some of the fastest decision making I've ever experienced in this game. Fast, clear callouts will make or break you. You are talking about split second dunking/supercharging. Combine this with enemies that shred you in no time and it is truly a challenge. Vosik took an hour plus on its own as did Aksis. We came close on both multiple times but we certainly were improving. When we cleared it last night it was another ultra sweaty event. Just a heads up that these are no slouch. |

View Quote One big thing is to make sure and callout that you are getting ready to throw the last bomb, and allow people to get where they need to be before throwing (in case they are on the opposite side). We made sure to call this out every time last night, and it helps tremendously. Overall, I liked the Aksis challenge, which is exactly what it was....a challenge. It took some time, but we got it done. |

Pretty much this. My heart was beating pretty good a couple of times last night, as funny as that may seem, running a cannon to a servitor on one side, and knowing I had to be back on the opposite to possibly slam Aksis or a plate. The time you have on this is so small if you aren't in the right position. Cannon runners all over the place, bomb chuckers throwing, calling out empowerment etc. Getting that supercharge plate every time was a rush. We had 9 Celestial Nighthawks go off per round for a total of 18 during the fight. Nuts. Add some Dark Drinker spin to win and it's a party. |

Agreed all the way around. You had some serious ground to make up a few times before the first teleport. Calling out that last one and confirming placement was crucial.
