All right guys, help me out. Why did we keep failing it last night? I can understand if we have someone down, but we failed several times with all 6 up. I think I heard there were 7 nodes in the multi phase, I was typically knocking down 3 at that stage and we had 3 bomb throwers... Or did we actually have someone down and I just didn't realize it? Sorry I had to drop off, but I feel like crap when I get up with only 5 hours sleep.
I did switch to scout early in the raid and it did pretty well, especially on the shanks. I may do some testing in the cosmodrome comparing damage at distance between the ARI-45 and a comparable light level scout. I really like the ARI-45.

Hard mode shows you how important it is to prioritize staying alive and using solid communication. You really feel the pain when you lose somebody. It's not impossible but it certainly ups the ante. Overall through that was a pretty good raid run. I saw improvement every round which is always a good sign. Get that Ex Machina sniper leveled up as it is an absolute beast. Keep looking for a good scout roll too. |

I thought about it and I think a few times targets on the back walls were not being prioritized. In the future, I think the charge throwers on the side need to work on the farthest targets first, and the guy in the middle works the near targets. I noticed a lot of hesitation from a few folks throwing charges as well, which again goes to prioritizing targets. As soon as you have a charge in your hand, you need to be hitting a target. No pause or hesitation, throw immediately. |

The door on the far side will have 6 or so exploder thrall coming through it about that time. Don't go through the door. Stand in the room and face the door, there's a big rock you can stand next to. Every few seconds the exploder thrall will spawn, kill one and get the kill for all of them from the explosion. You kind of have to wait till they get close b/c husk has horrible recoil, but unless things have changed, this wasn't too bad. |

Got on for a little bit and decrypted a Mida Multi-Tool. Seems like it was popular in year 1. Perks dont look great to me.

It is a solid work horse weapon for all things PVE if you wanted to use your exotic slot for it. The slightly lower impact puts it at a damage disadvantage compared to 37/48 or harder hitting scouts, but the passive bonuses more than make up for that IMO, and in some situations the faster movement speed from having the weapon equipped will help you get around the map quickly and can potentially help you get out of tight spots in a hurry. It is a very viable and powerful weapon in the crucible as well. You'll be outclassed by guys using hand cannons (who can hit their shots) at close range, but from mid to long range, it is in its element and really, really hard to beat. Again, the boost in movement speed really comes in handy in PVP for getting to an objective in a hurry, going on flanking routes, or just running away if you get in trouble. And it has some of the highest aim assist in the game, making headshots easy-peasy in PVP. Everyone playing Destiny, PVP or PVE, should own a Mida Multi Tool, IMO. It is a top tier weapon, arguably one of the best overall exotic primaries in the game. |

Mida is great but I use it exclusively in the Crucible. It's a very basic gun but has a nice set of perks that aren't groundbreaking but improve your game in a couple of areas.
For PVE there are more useful perks out there. |

The Angel's Advocate from the Vanguard this week is a high stability laser - zen moment, perfect balance and hidden hand. That's probably more a PVP roll than something great for PVE though. |

E3 stuff about D2:
Italics are Luke Smith quotes -in game map to find stuff with tracking on world events, etc. -fast travel options to unlock -guided games are available only for normal modes, not heroic/challenge modes -lost sectors are areas to find and unlock outside the regular map -we have an event class that we call Silent, which is basically when a bunch of monsters show up and start doing stuff, we have more of those. -each week we have an activity called a Flashpoint, which we haven’t talked about really, yet. But the Flashpoint is basically like a featured destination, a featured location. And then there’s a whole class of stuff that shows up when it’s the Flashpoint. So that’s unique, treasure maps to go find, special monsters that show up -no private crucible at launch -Titan Sentinel can be a bubble bro -Sunsinger revive is dead. -The Darkness is not part of the story in D2 -new weapon type: Linear Fusion Rifle. Think of it like a legendary version of Sleeper/Queensbreaker -SOME exotics are coming back. Last Word was an example. |

Self Res ended up being used in a way that wasn't intended. Warlocks sitting on charged supers during a raid doesn't contribute much to the fireteam. It became a mulligan which didn't make it very fun.
D2 is also restructuring death penalties for Heroic raids. I believe they are trying to avoid the whole "let's wipe" mentaility when things go south. Also makes sense with the new guided games system. Why would you pick up a noob if a death was not recoverable? Will be interesting to see how all this is integrated. |

I used and abused self res a lot in year one. It was a safety blanket, but it took me a while to figure out that it wasn't really helping the team in the long run. Especially since warlocks have very powerful supers, they can be a very strong crowd control/high priority target killer in the team.
Anyways, in the reef. Legacy special. Saint 14 - yup Khepri's Sting - no Light Beyond Nemesis - maybe if you play a lot of 3v3 crucible Tresspasser - maybe for PVP |

Do Xur's legacy exotic engrams only go to 170 light? So I'd have to get lucky on getting something I want, then go buy the year 3 from the kiosk?
There's so much old information on the web about Destiny, it's often hard to find current answers. |

However, you have a greatly increased chance to get an exotic that you don't already have from year 1. Keep in mind that a few exotics were tied to quests, or dropped from activities only.. so those would not drop from the engrams. (POE weapons, Thorn, Invective, Mythoclast... etc) |

Explosive rounds can help mitigate lack of range, especially on hand cannons (such as Fatebringer). The splash damage from explosive rounds also adds a degree of crowd control, since they can stun lock enemies provided the berserk modifier isn't on. And specifically, explosive round equipped scout rifles in Wrath of the Machine are really amazing because while it goes against everything else we've ever done in this game, shooting Sivafied Fallen in the head can be detrimental to your health at times. Popping their heads off can send out a Siva charge/retaliation thing which if you're already weak from an encounter can finish you off. Especially at Vosik, where in most cases you're gonna be constantly under fire and it can be difficult to find a moment to catch your breath. I really don't go for head shots against ads in most instances with an explosive rounds equipped scout in Wrath of the Machine, it's safer to body shot everything to death. That particular Treads roll has another advantage for Wrath of the Machine, in that with explosive rounds and the crowd control perk active, you'll be able to one shot the shanks at Aksis phase 2. It's the next best thing to a higher impact scout with explosive rounds or the Burning Eye scout rifle for that encounter. |
