Communication is everything. Good communication leads to good positioning, and good positioning is what you've got to have to supercharge and stun. 

Cut down on the extraneous chatter. I like talking smack and bullshitting as much as the next guy, but there are two vital moments that need to be clearly and concisely communicated right away:

Last charge out before Aksis' shield is taken down
Where are your empowered people at?

The three non empowered teammates don't really need to say anything, except maybe calling out which plate is glowing for a supercharge, but really if your empowered team's positioning is good, they don't even have to do that. 

Stay alive. I can't emphasize that enough. *Stay alive.*  While there is a sense of urgency with this encounter, it's not so urgent to have people needless die from shanks, Siva swarms or captains. Run away if you have to, take cover if need be, use supers and heavy to get yourself out of a jam.  Especially with your supers, because if the supercharge sequence goes right, everyone in the team is immediately gonna have and keep supers throughout the encounter. Don't be shy about obliterating a captain with a super. They were dangerous in the standard heroic raid, at 390 light they are more lethal than ever. 

I'd argue that for the first two Aksis teleports, don't really even worry about doing damage if you're empowered. If you're empowered, your number one responsibility is supercharging plates and stunning Aksis. Get potshots in if you can, but if it's between doing damage and getting into position to supercharge or stun, then position all the way, all day, no questions about it. Besides, by the third teleport, you're gonna have enough supers and heavy going out to make for plenty of damage.

Long story short, best overall positioning for empowered players is mid way between where Aksis would teleport and the supercharge plate.  Don't stand directly on the plate on the left or right sides as you're waiting for teleports, because you probably won't make it in time if you have to stun Aksis on either side - for example, say you're empowered standing on the right plate waiting to supercharge, but Aksis teleports right.  "Ohshit, ohshit, ohshit!" you say as you run over to get the slam and a teammate on one of the other plates supercharges, but you don't get to Aksis in time to stun.  

Challenge failed, wipe it and restart.

The yellow caution tape on either side of the floor by the big pillars is a good spot to hang around in on the left or right.

The empowered guy in the middle has a bit of a shit job, because along with covering the back middle plate for supercharging, they've also got to watch the low mid teleport that would normally be covered by guys on the left and right.  Reason being, with where the left and right empowered players are standing by for stun/supercharge, if Aksis teleports to the low mid, chances are the guys on the side will not make it to Aksis in time to stun.

So, the best course of action IMO for the empowered mid player is to stand where indicated by the X in the map above, facing forward towards the platform where Aksis starts off at.  If he teleports low mid, go for the stun., and rely on your teammates to supercharge.  If not, immediately turn around and go for the supercharge, and make it a habit to go for that plate whether it's lit up or not, and that goes for all empowered players who aren't stunning Aksis - whether the plate near you is lit up or not, just go, make it muscle memory to automatically try to supercharge.

In addition, you do not need to be standing directly in the center of the plate to supercharge, the area where it will register is quite big actually, so just hold down X or square or whatever your reload button is as you're running/skating/floofing to the plate.  Once you're close enough, it will supercharge the plate automatically.

Call out your empowerment immediately!  Remember, good communication makes or breaks this fight.  You can do all the damage in the world but it's all wasted if your communication (and as a byproduct, your positioning) sucks and you miss a supercharge or a stun.

Have I mentioned that the loot pool sucks for the 390 raids that aren't Wrath of the Machine?  

The exotic, I do. 

Legendary, nope. They throw the exotics at you from completing challenges, I got a full set of all the raid exotic primaries with my first challenge mode clears except for the Mythoclast. But across Crota and VOG, I think I have two or three of the legendary primaries.  RNG is a fickle bitch.
